To me, the story and the way it was told was just so amazing that I started seeing all games differently. Somehow, I started noticing lots of smaller details, and having a greater appreciation for game developers. Since playing Blackwell, I don't really dislike any games.
That's just me... It had quite an effect on me. I hope I don't hype it up too much :-p

I couldn't tell why I like the Blackwell series so much either... it's... global. It's also the first and the only video games that ever made me cry... :-|

Well, they are pretty awesome. I think I own those games three or four times over. :P And by the end of the series I was crying as well. :P
