Hi, folks! I just read a great article that I think y'all will find very interesting:

8 Video Games That Even Non-Gamers Will Want to Play

I can personally vouch for both Life is Strange and Valiant Hearts (which happens to be on sale at Steam for less than $4 right now!)

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts ^__^

FearfulSymmetry: Don't catch a cold, okay? :) I hope you'll have a nice evening when you get home and get to warm up a bit.

Yep, I don't have much planned, apart from some gaming and watching TV series and lounging around in my pajamas. ;)

I'll take the hug anyway! I can always take a shower afterwards. :P *big hug*
I should be okay, I am not one to usually get a cold. Which is why I was one of the only ones who would give Moon a hug when she had a cold. The others were being mean and only hugging with hazmat suits on.I am at work for quite some time still (about another three hours), and the weather is just slowing things down a little.

Your evening sounds nice and relaxing. What game are you thinking of playing?

YAY! *Gives a big wet and muddy hug*

Are you sure you want a hug? I am soaking wet and covered in mud, and I would not want to get your clothes all dirty. :-)

I'll take the hug nevertheless.

Won't we miss too much in terms of story?

Good luck with your work, hopefully things won't be too bad. *another good luck hug*

I'm not really sure yet! There is so much to play and so little time. :P I was playing Oblivion, so I might continue that, especially as it's easy to pick up and play for a little bit. I have lots of shiny new games to try, but I'm afraid I'll be too busy to give them the attention they deserve, so I'm kind of pushing those forward until I finish my thesis at least. :)

Hello! How are you?

I have not played any of the games on the list, most due to me not using Steam. I have heard good things about Life is Strange, but from what I have seen of the Mountain "game", it is not that good, IMO. The same with Gone Home, I have heard a lot of bad things about it, especially its short length, and its somewhat pretentious story.

I'm not really sure. I played these games for the first time on another computer where the movies worked, so I already know the story and can fill in the blanks. In general, I think you'll be able to follow along pretty well, but you might miss some details. I'll see if I can find the movies on Youtube and find out how much you'll miss.

YAY! :-)

*Gives Moon a big tight muddy cuddle*

How are you? I saw that we had a somewhat "interesting" guy on the forum complaining about his key being obtained with a stolen credit card. That would explain why GOG disabled gifting of the game.

*welcome hug* Can't say anything about the games, played none of them. And I am not sure if I would really like them.

Yep, that clearly explains it. And it showed that some people are just resistant to whatever you tell or explain.

Thank you. I will be fine, but I can't wait to get home and into a nice hot bath.

I know how you feel about finding it hard to choose a game. I have lots of shiny new games, but too little time to play them. The free time I do have I spend with my partner, or I am just too tired to really enjoy the game, so I put it off for another day.

*More muddy hugs*

I only read a few bits, maybe I will read the rest this evening, I am sure it will put a smile on my face, the silliness level of those threads often does. :-)

But don't let those kind of people stop you from being your wonderful helpful self. They are not worth it, do no let people like that change your kind heart.

*Even bigger muddy hug*

Bored and sad that KOTOR is a pain to get running without turning off the movies because it's my first time playing so I want every detail I can have.

Okay, I checked it out and it might be a bit difficult to follow along without them. If I gave you a non-spoilery explanation of what you're missing you'd be fine for most of the game, but there's an essential cutscene near the end. You'll likely be able to pick up on what happened from what will still be in the game, but it's a kind of lame way for the main reveal to go down.

I can totally imagine! :)

Yes, that's really difficult, and sometimes you just don't feel like playing. Sometimes I even return to playing games I've already finished just because I can play them quickly for a bit without losing track of what's going on. I'm planning to catch up on my new games over my summer holidays, though, when I'll have more time.

That's a nice article! Life is Strange seemed quite interesting... maybe I'll give a vote for gog to add it? :)
Valiant Hearts is supposed to be a heavy trip, if my junglevine-connection is right :)
I'm terribly disappointed in the troll, I'd expect him to at least be somewhat creative with his profanity, he can't even insult properly.

ddickinson: Due to being soaking wet, and with the cold wind, it's quite chilly at the moment. I also have a really bad headache, but that will probably pass in no time.

I am glad to hear you are doing well, and that you have finished your work for the day. Are you able to just relax now and enjoy yourself? Anything nice planned for the rest of your day?

So, you can have a wet and muddy hug, or just a wave. Which would you prefer? I will understand if you just want a wave. :-)
Sorry to hear that, I can't really sympathize because I only get 2 months of cold weather a year, and even then it's not that cold, and not very wet either.

Grab a cup of hot cocoa and purge heretics for the emprah! That should make you feel better.
