ddickinson: The legendary Owl hot chocolate. It sure was tasty.... erm, I mean, I hear it is tasty.
*hides the box addressed to Agent that I intercepted before it could leave Europe* :-)
What ... have you done !?! Ô__Ô

avatar
ddickinson: I can believe that it is not nice to come home to an angry Owlet. My little nephew is quite similar, although I only see him often, his poor mother has him all the time. He has started hitting people with things now.

By complete I mean that once my wishlist is empty, that means I have all the games on GOG that appeal to me, so not only will I have no more games to keep increasing my backlog, but I will also be officially ungiftable. :-)

*Lots of big comforting hugs and some courage hugs for dealing with an angry Owlet*
Ho. How surprising. My owlet tries hitting people too (when not herself).
(Stop talking about apocalyptic topics, please, you stress me.... ',',,',',',,',',,',,','):-| .... there are new games everyday or almost ; how can you tell when your backlog will be complete ?...)
Thanks for your not-wet hug...
**Big hug back with lots of courage for dealing with this afternoon's tasks**

LaPtiteBete: The Lady said : anyhing FUN... lol. Sitting on your porch waiting doesn't sound really exciting ! :-p
I don't know "Southland"... :-) Hope you'll enjoy your watching, then !! **Get-better-quick Hug**
avatar
AgentBirdnest: When was the last time you tried it? It might be funner than it sounds ;-p **Thank you hug**
I hate waiting... and I don't have any porch, anyway... :-p

ddickinson: Good morning!

How are you, is your day going well?

Also: *pokes with stick to remind you to get your wiki set up so we can throw things at you with gift codes written on them* :-)
<nibbles on stick>

Good morning! :)

I'm doing fine, the Sun is beginning to rise, the world is waking up around me, and the day seems to be shaping up nicely.

Yes, I know I need to get that wiki set up... I'd rather prefer that people would through muffins at me, instead of codes, but then again, I haven't eaten breakfast yet. ;)

<big squishy good morning hug>

Ah, almost forgot to send you an umbrella hat for the rainy days. Won't help with the mud... glad to hear you are otherwise happy and well.

superstande: Mornings & Good Nights...
Why was I thinking today is Friday...? Hm.
Am I getting this right, if one owns say, Tie Fighter, it's getting that CD-ROM update on 4th of May?
If so, that sounds nice!

tinyE: it was today
ah okay thanks!!
my frequency of checking the forum has been rather low these days...

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

The updates are already there, I grabbed both of them hours ago. You might have to refresh your account for them to show up, but it's not a wait until early May to get them.
Alrighty! makes sense...
Whoa and there's that Mayday we get free Friday from work...
:) game-time, forum-time, party time!

ElTerprise: Glad to hear you're doing very good :),

No. Not that many. Main part of of my programme are seminars - currently i have 2-3 lectures (one of them is more of a hybrid between lecture and seminar)...thankfully the boring one is over for today :).
Glad to hear it, I remember how boring lectures could be.

AgentBirdnest: Nooooooo!!! You can't do that to me!! I've waited so long!! ,,','',',',:-|
*makes a call to my supervisor and tattles on DD using my extra sad voice*
I only took a little bit, then I put it right back in the French post. :-)

I don't know what you mean, this is just regular hot chocolate. :-)

*turns the mug around to hide the Owl image*

Edit: attached image to post instead, as the link did not work.

There are new games, but usually they are not ones that catch my eye. So theoretically, barring any new release that stands out, my backlog will be complete and I can slowly get them all played, with little worry about adding more and more games to the list.

The sun came out and I am all dry now, so there was no need for a wet hug.

*Lots of sun dried hugs*

While muffins would be nice, I am not sure I can throw them all the way to the US. And if I try to send them via the internet, I will just end up clogging up my router with muffins. So I guess you will just have to settle for gift codes. :-)

I am glad to hear you are doing fine, and hopefully the day will go very nicely for you.

Moin :).
Although it makes no difference for me - we'll have May Day (a.k.a International Workers' Day / Labour Day) here too :).

GhostwriterDoF: I'm simply rolling today (which is a good thing). :)
Also seriously considering getting a coffee maker so I can have some with the rest of you.

That is one good thing about this Thread, no matter the hour, there is always someone here,
or at least lurking through the posts.

At least you are having a good day, on this wonder filled Wednesday.

<big squishy, yet gentle hug>
A coffee maker sounds a great idea... Welcome to our Coffee Worshipers Club !! :-D
I agree... There's always someone here, and it's really cool :-)
Have a nice Wednesday too !!

ElTerprise: That's good :). Now the linux games from GOG should work on the new Debian ?
Yes they should. I'll have to test that, perhaps I can try the Linux versions of the newly re-released X-Wing/TIE Fighter Collectors CD-ROMS. (I'm fortunate enough to own both of those games on GOG already)

Hey that reminds me, I really need to get a good joystick...

This is so unfair. Many parts of Switzerland also have it, but my canton does not. Need to work ;-(

Really? Oh that sucks...why isn't it holiday in the entire Switzerland ? Has it something to do with the german / french speaking cantons?

Good luck on your Learning Linux quest! I was there myself, quite a learning curve but once I got the hang of it I started liking it 10 times better than Windows.

And we now have a number by the Beatles....

But why yell at me? I helped Agent to get over his hatred of phones. I knew he would forget his hatred for phones when it comes to hot chocolate, so I kept hold of the parcel to encourage him to be brave. Now that he has shown how brave he is, I can put it back in the French post and it will be with him as soon as the US customs allows it through. I also marked it as a gift for you, otherwise customs could charge Agent import fees. Plus you can now add "good with phones" on his list of agent skills. :-)

Nope, even in the German ones it is not a holiday everywhere. In some cantons it is half a day free, in others not at all.
Many holidays are handled regionally here, so every canton gets to decide about it.

Thank you. Yeah it's definitely not easy to get into but my xubuntu installations works decent now - i only have som issues with the volume control not responding correctly but i'm really looking forward to dig further into it. But i still have to look up pretty much every terminal command :).

Okay. Germany also has many regional differences concerning holdidays but the important ones are the same in states. But Hamburg has the least holidays and Bavaria the most in Germany...
