I am looking forward to GOG getting some Star Trek games. Not to play them (I have never really seen much Star Trek), but so that we can grab some popcorn and watch a nerd war as both sides argue about which is best. :-)

Actually I'd want an 'excellent' condition copy if I bought used.

Right. Once you have to start scouring the journal or quest log to piece the memories back together, you've essentially lost the whole thread of the thing. At that point it gets restarted and all the progress is lost.
Not a fan of doing that. It's all going to turn to half-remembered mush anyway unless I find something sufficiently infuriating to get me screaming, reaffirming my theory that good memories fade while hatred burns forever, so I at least try to get a coherent storytelling experience while I'm actually playing it.

Of course, we could also be getting a new language added to GOG, and thus a promo from that region(s). Maybe Spanish?

I used to love Star Wars becacuse when you're 9, laser-sword-fighting-space-warlocks is the coolest thing EVER.

I've always found Star Trek a bit silly. I don't think even 80's WWF could top the awkwardness of the lizard fight.

I was going to make some kind of high road statement about not spewing venom over such silliness, but then I remembered myself screaming at length during Insomnia, wanting to keep Anomaly Defenders up so long that it unseated Jack Keane 2 as the retarded king of worthless game garbage.

And if GOG hadn't pulled the plug, I'm willing to bet I could've helped make that happen. I wasn't going to stop. -laughing hard-

Hmmm...then i've to fight with myself as i like both :)....and imho Star Trek is more Science Fiction whereas Star Wars borders Science Fantasy to some degree...;)

Well, it's here and the bundles, while Star Wars related, still look pretty nice price-wise.

I think I have only ever played one Star Trek game. It was an old game that one of my brothers used to play called [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Trek:_Starfleet_Academy_%28video_game%29]Star Fleet Academy[/url]. It was a fun game, and I had no real need for any Star Trek knowledge to play it. It also had live action FMV cutscenes, which I like, as they are often fun and silly, even though many people hate them.

So I guess you will be performing some self-flagellation if we get some Star Trek games. :-)

I don't think I've played a Trek game since ones for the original Nintendo, a very long time ago.

I agree with you about FMV's. There's so much pretension to video games, so much aspiring for something cinematic, that people forget that something bad can be made good if it's bad in an amusing way.
