CarrionCrow: Good morning, everyone.

Hopefully you're all doing well today.
avatar
ddickinson: Good morning, Crow!

Did you have a nice weekend?
It wasn't too bad, generally quiet, which is always good. Spent some time getting back into clearing out my video and game backlogs.

Sounds like you and your partner had a really fun time at the party, happy to hear it. =)
avatar
j0ekerr: Oh, and at long last, BROKEN AGE ACT 2 got released. FINALLY!!! Yessss.

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Supposedly 'big things' happening tomorrow. Wonder what?
avatar
j0ekerr: Could this be it?
Your previous commentary on the Japanese language actually makes me more interested in studying it.
Far more used to being around people who embody a counter-directness but in the worst possible way, people who have no sense, no shame, no self control, and a neverending willingness to babble about utterly insignificant things to the point that I want to scream for them to shut the fuck up or punch them in the throat.

Downloading the second part of Broken Age now, looking forward to playing it as a complete package.

Thinking that isn't the special whatever, but with GOG it's always hard to tell.
They like to get enthusiastic about things, they like to add a bit of hype, only to get cut off at the knees when their idea of something special isn't what people want it to be.

CarrionCrow: Can't complain here, just another standard night. Taking a break from Icewind at the moment after clearing another dungeon out, that's about it.
avatar
ElTerprise: Does Icewind Dale occupy too much time then?
The dungeons do get large after a bit, and there's a lot of loot distribution/buying/selling/organizing, but it's not bad.
Taking breaks in between so I don't get tired of playing and switch over to something else.

LaPtiteBete: I like the mob thing... quite funny. and the fact you can die for random stupid reasons... but I'm not gonna lie, it's still not a stunning storyline... :-|
What is your point ?...
I'm totally bored with the story... The main character is such a bore that I have trouble remembering his name...
The puzzles don't seem to be very well balanced, in my opinion. They are mostly too easy, but with a couple of insanely difficult ones that I'd have never figured out (thankfully my friend is much smarter than me :-))
Still... I enjoy it... and there have been some really funny moments :-)

At least there is some nudity n__n

I have no idea what you were talking about, but I latched on one word.

Guess which one it is.

EDIT: AAARGH VGA PIXELS!
I saw mention of some Star Wars extras in the update thread, so I am guessing today's surprise is more Star Wars/Lucas Arts games.

I fixed that last bit for you. We don't want to get Endre too excited. :-)

Yeah, Judas also mentioned updates to Star Wars games in the Where is Tuesday's Game thread, in a way that looked a lot like a hint... so I'm imagining more Lucas Arts / Star Wars stuff might be it. Particularly with May the Fourth coming up.

Hello again everyone :)

EndreWhiteMane: Howdy Crow, haven't talked to you in a while.
Boy, I hope they've been in the fridge. That was days ago. :-)

I would be happy to stay away from that rental place if someone could find me a copy of Galactic Civilizations II: Ultimate Edition that wasn't $245.00. :/
avatar
Gnostic: Your wish is granted. Look here

You can download the games directly from stardock store and not download from steam. But beware, newer games like Sins of the Solar Empire Rebellion is steam only. Sins of the Solar Empire Trinity and older however can be download from Stardock directly.
Sadly the one sold in the Stardock store requires Steam also. :/
Thank you for looking though. ;)

Morning all.

Finished a TV show, the first anime I've completed in months, and I'm steadily chewing my way through Icewind 1.
On chapter 4 of that, but I can't remember how many chapters it has in total, and there are still two expansions to do besides, so that's going to take a while, I think.

Well I know someone who will be happy if they have a May the Forth promo. :-)

I find the puzzles globally too easy... where did you get stuck ?...
LOL at the nudity n__n ... good point.

Good morning! *big morning hug*

How are you today, is the knee any better?

I wondered if all the Icewind talk would make you revisit the game. A bit like how I want to play the original command and conquer games now after tinyE kept mentioning them. :-)

Are you looking forward to today's mystery surprise? I kind of preferred it when they started these things at 11am GMT. But it seems they changed it to a more suitable time for the US.
Good morning, all! Hugs and coffee all around. Trying to wake up enough to get back to puppy-proofing the house. Looks like we'll be bringing Sgt. Pupper home in the next couple days! Today's primary task will be moving my records to somewhere safer and not at floor level. I'm just too damn tired today to get moving. :)

Hey Endre :)

They seem to be selling a disc copy for £7 on Amazon here (UK Amazon obviously).. not sure whether it needs Steam or not, and it's been so long since I've bought games on CD I don't know how to tell... :/

Yeah, it did. Course, it's effectively shut down my progress in Grimrock and I'm going to have to restart Pillars now since I've lost the thread of the narrative, so it's a bit of a mixed blessing.

Idly curious to see what's coming, but I'm not a big Star Wars fan, so that's not hugely appealing.
If it's more Lucasarts point and clicks, I'll add those to the list and pick them up when I have more money.

Additional - Good morning, Endre and Akhliber. Good afternoon, Adalia. =)
