It's surprising how much you can learn from cartoons. :-)

Well I had better call it a night. It's gone 1am here and I have a fun day planned tomorrow. It's the last day off I will get for a while and so I plan to make the most of it. After that I'm back to working 7 days a week again.

ddickinson: I had a good day, kind of (no change with my , so that was a bit disappointing). But I have the weekend off work (I normally work seven days a week), so I have been enjoying the free time with my other half.

I hope the day has been treating you well?

I hope you and your mum are having a fun time, are you close to beating Super Mario Bros U?

I didn't realize you had made the situation with your own mother public before I read back, but am glad to see you getting so much support from the people here, it's well-deserved. I wish there was more I could do, or say, but at least you've got your "other half" there to help with things:)

Howdy gang! I've been a little incommunicado for the last while. We went on a bit of a vacation. First stop was to see how the other half live. We spent a couple of nights at my brother in laws new house - a 7,000 square foot shack. Everyone needs six bedrooms and seven bathrooms, right?

We followed that up with four nights at my sister in laws cabin in the mountains. There's no internet and no cell service. It's fantastic! Skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, fires and fireworks! 1,800 km and 8 days later, I'm very happy to be home.

Hope you all had a great new years!

Is anything over 7,000 square feet legally allowed to be called a 'shack?' Seems there's a bit of difference between 'shack' and 'imperial palace.' I'm not familiar with how shrink ray guns fit in with Canadian law.

And congrats on the holiday. You just had the most stereotypical vacation in Canadian history. Did you also ride along with the Mounties and beat people up at a Hockey game?

Seven bathrooms? Guess that'd make sense if there was one person per room and everyone came down with explosive food poisoning at once. Otherwise? Seems like they stocked up on extras just to have them.
Glad to hear that you and yours had a good time. Quiet new year's here, but that's not a bad thing. Beats having obnoxious drunks everywhere. =)
