LaPtiteBete: I just bought "Inherit the Earth", because it was on my wishlist too...
I don't know about the rest... I only played Triple Town, and it's a really nice little game !!
(and, my Fallout fell off my shelf too !... ô__ô)
Hmm...fallout seems to vanish when a new game is added to the shelf (but i didn't buy anything the last days...)
I will take a look at Inherit the Earth and Triple town...

It's a rather big promo this weekend...

adaliabooks: I'd recommend trying the free version to see if you like the basic idea. If it's not available anymore I'm sure I'll still have the installer somewhere if you wanted.
You talking about this version? http://www.desktopdungeons.net/media/

Great. Now I do not even need to look for it. Thanks :-)

ElTerprise: Yeah that's reason i'm not 100% sure about Banner Saga...I've seen video about Dragon Commander and i think i'll getting that for sure.

And to answer your other question. I would consider myself a decent player. But i would certainly get my ass kicked in multiplayer ;).
I'll have to look into Dragon Commander further, I've been aware of it for awhile, just not sure whether it's my type of game or not.

Yeah, pretty much the same here. I just wonder sometimes because while I do find FTL hard, it surprises me when people find it much more difficult than I did and I wonder if I'm better at some games then I think I am..

You're welcome. I was curious myself about the game :).

It's interesting. I experienced similar things. But what i realized that i'm better at FPS for example than i think i am (although more modern fps conditioned me to this damn auto-heal which makes older fps or fps without it more difficult now ;).

That's the one. I'm on my phone so I didn't fancy rooting about for it and trying to successfully post a link. Thanks :)

Triple Town's not a bad game. Played the Android version years ago. Plus the developer (or at least one of them) is a pretty awesome guy who gives out a lot of his old artwork to use for free in prototyping games and stuff (which I found out entirely by coincidence after having played the game and then stumbled on his site while looking for artwork)

ElTerprise: So it's similar to Portal? I really liked Portal and i would take a closer look at this game then :).
Despite the lack of portals... It actually did remind me of Portal quite a bit. They are both "escape the room"-type games. You usually have to make the ball hit switches to move to the next room. The isolation felt really similar... only without a voice taunting you the entire time :-p

I haven't properly played an FPS in years so I'm sure I completely suck at them thesr days. Unless someone were to revive the Timesplitters series I can't really see myself getting into an FPS these days.
It's just funny because while I know I've gotten better I wouldn't have classed myself as being very good, bit since hanging about on these forums I've often come across people commenting on how difficult a game is and find myself thinking "Really? I didn't find that that hard"

You're welcome. As i already told Moon i also wanted to talk a look at it :).

Triple town looks certainly nice...we'll see about that. But i won't and don't have rush any possible purchases...

I can live without that voice ;).

Yeah but that can happen. I pretty much suck at platformers despite loving them and often hear people saying that they find certain platformers easy...in which i would disagree ;)

I think it's improved a lot since I've played it, but I wouldn't put it very high on a wishlist unless you were a particular fan of match three type games.

Yeah. It was awesome but i meant i can play a similar game without the voice :P

I think it is because normally you have a type of games you are really good in. So you find them easy and wonder why others find them difficult but also happens the other way round. At least that is how it is for me :-)

moonshineshadow: Anyone played Desktop Dungeons?
I had a closer look at the games to see if perhaps there was something that should have been on my wishlist and this one looks a bit interesting, but I am not really sure about it.
That one is an interesting title. At a glance, it might seem like an RPG, but in actuality it combines the randomness and eventual difficulty of a rogue-like with puzzle elements.

You're given a dungeon. You have to kill all the enemies before you run out of health.
But the trick is, you regain health by uncovering bits of the map, giving you a finite amount of health recovery for the level.
If you don't manage it properly, burn too much health killing monsters in an inefficient way, you'll get killed by the boss.

I must be getting tired. Adalia ninja'd me silly with a good game description and I didn't even notice.

Yeah. Pretty much so. I actually heard of people who really suck at the lego games which i wouldn't really describe as hard :).
(Pretty much so with the friend of mine is used to play the games with...)
