CarrionCrow: He'd be trading knee pain for severe mental trauma. Probably not the best possible option. -laughs-

Out the door does sound accurate, though. As in running out the door and heading for the hills.

ddickinson: We will deal with that when the time comes. So just put your dress on and grab a sponge. I will go tie him down. :-)
If I'm going to sponge bathe anyone, I'd really prefer they be female.

Thinking someone who can actually pull off wearing a nurse's uniform without terrifying him would be the way to go. =)

Hello everybody *hugs and waves*

Another extremely work-loaded day is nearing its end...
avatar
ddickinson: I hope you are all still doing good?
Yep, thanks for asking.

This whole sponge bath thing is starting to scare me.
Think I'll go to the grocery store where I'll be safe. :-)
See y'all in a bit.

Ixamyakxim: Here you go!

I did a followup writeup on Drox. I was having a blast solving one problem and actually using the game diplomacy systems as I saw fit, but then lost (most likely due to dying too many times?).
...
Ah, thanks for that write-up, confirmed things and informed us a lot. I'm still curious about the game, more as a "fiddle with" approach after a good sale. I'm more into the strategy style gameplay like Sins of a Solar Empire, or possibly a sim/shooter like Strike Suite or X2, rather than the Rogue-like gameplay.

tinyE: Any C&C fans here? Is it me or is Firestorm unconscionably hard?
It's hard, maybe not unconscionably, but might be considered brutally hard instead... :P

Moin. *hug*

How are you apart from having a work-loaded day?

ddickinson: I enjoy the original games. And from what I remember, Firestorm is a nice challenge, especially on the harder levels. Which level are you finding unconscionably hard?
Medium. XD I have C&C binges every year or so and replay all of them but with Firestorm it's always the same thing: I breeze through Tiberium Sun on Medium and figure I'll do the same with the Expansion but I just get my ass kicked. I shouldn't say it's impossible, I have won it on Medium, it's just ratcheted up so much from Sun and while expansions are supposed to be an added challenge I don't recall one ever being this big of a step up.

I thought it was, yeah... I had the most difficulty with Red Alert 1, and probably Firestorm after that.

ElTerprise: I'm sill good :) *returns hug*

How are you ?
I am good, thank you. I just got back from a few more manual tasks, now back to some indoor tasks. Still a few hours left before I can call it a day.

I did find out that my mum is great with horror games. She fancied a try on Outlast, as she had heard me talk about it with my dad. And do you remember that scary scene we talked about previously (that we won't mention in case we spoil it for people), well she did not even move an inch. In fact she played it for about 20 minutes and was not scared once. I will admit the game had me jumping now and then, but my mum was just super cool and did not seem phased by any of it.

But if we got a pretty woman then he would not want to recover and his knee would not get better. The whole theory of you doing it is that it will give him the incentive to get better quicker. :-)

Okay, that will give us time to pick out the right dress for Crow and for us to get everything ready. :-)

See you when you get back!

*goes to fetch sponge and rubber ducky.* :-)

*Re-hug*

Quite fine. Last night was a bit on the short side. The kids had trouble sleeping and the older ended up in my bed - which drove me away to the living room couch...

How about you?

*Big hello hug*

Work day has been interesting, but pretty exhausting. As for the evening... I have nothing special planned. My wife will want to watch "Criminal Minds" and I will probably join her, although I don't really feel in the mood for TV. I'll just see...

What's your idea of relaxation for today?

I tend to play the games now and then as well. The last I played was the original (with widescreen patch and removing those damn lines off the videos). I enjoyed Firestorm, but I can not say I found it too hard, just a nice challenge. I play it on hard mainly, but there are a few levels that give me trouble. But I agree that Firestorm is a lot more challenging than Tiberian Sun.

Speaking of Tiberian Sun, why is it called Tiberium, yet the game is called Tiberian Sun?
