EndreWhiteMane: You need to recruit Agent too. Try offering him Peanut Butter Cups. :-)
*Looks at Endre with suspicion*

Agent is loyal to Owl (and scared of her putting him back in the oubliette), he would never betray her. I wonder if you are just trying to get me to share my plans with him knowing he will report back to Owl. Do not tell me you are on her side as well? Do not believe her promises, she will not let you keep your stars in exchange for serving her. In the end she will take your stars and leave you there naked and broken. :-)

EndreWhiteMane: That's great! Didn't know Airplane had a sequel. *goes looking*
Here's a fixed link:

Later. Have a good day. ;)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Airplane and Airplane 2 are both on Netflix now, I think.
Indeed they are! Thanks. :-)
Couple more days and my bandwidth quota resets and I'll watch. ;)
avatar
ddickinson: Hello again, everyone!

avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Slowly getting better, thanks. The ice and knee brace help.
Arthritis and too many years of squatting down to work on computers.
avatar
ddickinson: I am glad it is getting better, I will keep my fingers crossed it will heal quickly. If only Crow had agreed to put on the nurse uniform and come look after you, I bet you would be all better now. anything to avoid another bed bath. :-)

I think you missed chasing all the young nurses off the list of reasons you have a bad leg. :-)

avatar
CarrionCrow: It's not a love, it's more like a feeling of, "Well, for some reason I felt the desire to buy this. And since I spent money on it, I'm going to play it, whether it's good or bad."
Thankfully, I haven't done that very often, in the overall view of what I've got.
If I had nothing but games like Soulstorm or Planet Stronghold, I'd take up a less painful hobby.
avatar
ddickinson: At least you are playing some games you are enjoying now. I was getting worried you really did have some desire to punish yourself with bad games. :-)

I can understand your reasoning. I have a few games on my shelf that I don't really like, but I paid for them, so I will play them. Most of the games I am not keen on came from the mutator promo, as I tend to be quite careful with buying games, hence the small wishlist.

avatar
AgentBirdnest: You are definitely right. The more we bring it up, the more likely it is that someone will get offended. I tend to get a bit carried away.
avatar
ddickinson: Yeah, you are such delicate types across the pond, you get upset over the silliest things. :-)

avatar
CarrionCrow: It depends. The stuff that's a high priority to me won't be part of any weekend sale any time soon, they're too expensive, too recent.

Also, Transistor makes me think of cyberpunk. Cyberpunk is one of my absolute favorite genres.

-laughs- There's a thought. An NSA operative, using a forum mod position as a cover, all the way to the hiding in plain sight tactic of streaming games and including their own voice in the recordings.
avatar
ddickinson: It sounds like the perfect plan. Build up a rapport with the community, earn their trust, then do what ever it is the NSA does. It is always the ones you least expect, and who would suspect a covert agent hiding in plain sight. :-)
If I'd put on that nurse's uniform, Endre would be under his bed crying. -laughs-

The desire to play rather than collect makes me start bad games. Occasional self-loathing combined with the bitter joy of being intensely angry, spitting venom and tearing things to pieces makes me finish them. ;)

It's a good plan, but ultimately a bit too flashy. An NSA person would probably be someone who's engaged with the community, but just enough to get the reputation numbers to not be conspicuous.

GhostwriterDoF: Good Morning, Afternoon, and Evening to everyone here, not yet here, and to you lurkers too...

I got a couple extra hours of sleep in last night, so today I'm feeling extra alright! (I'll take 'em as I can get 'em)...

I'm still in busy mode but things are settling down, luckily all the drama around me isn't my own.

<ruffles everyone's hair and feathers playfully>

You all seem to be in good spirits and having a good day,
hoping the end of the week will take you to a restful, or productive
weekend (whichever suits you best, including both).

Otherwise, how's the world turning for you all?
Good morning!

Glad to hear you are feeling extra alright! :-)

All is good for me, just doing some dreaded paperwork and making phone calls.

Do you have anything nice planed for your day?
avatar
ddickinson: Hello! A relatively new face on the thread, that is always nice to see. :-)

I am doing very good, thank you. How about you, is your day off to a good start?
avatar
akhliber: I've lurked in this thread but don't often feel I've much of use to say. ;).
My day is off to an excellent start, thank you!
-laughs- "Of use"...sounds like you're hard on yourself.

It's easy around here. Don't be crappy to other people. That's it. Everything else is saying whatever comes to mind. =)

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

I used to be far more of a cat person, but my roommates have dogs, and they've grown on me quite a bit.
It'd be an entirely different house without them around.
Best of luck to you with your new friend, hopefully the medical appointment goes well also.
Thanks! I am sure the appointment will go well (and I am excited to be getting back to addressing medical concerns, got some new tests lined up with the Mayo Clinic, so good things ahead!)
And I honestly never thought of myself as a "dog person," but my heart melted when I saw this little guy. :)

But think of the incentive he would have to get better. I am sure his knee would already be healed if he had you looking after him in tiny nurses uniform and giving him bed baths. He would be back on his feet and out the door in no time. :-)

Coconut. Just saying what came to mind. :-)

CarrionCrow: It looks extremely good. Not sure if I'll pick it up during the discount phase, but it'll definitely be a purchase.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Apparently I'm the only one who would have a problem with carrying around what looks like a memory stick with a screwdriver sticking out of it? :-)
The 1GB VRAM scares me off anyway. ;)
The weapon might look silly, but I've suspended disbelief regarding sillier things. -laughs-

I'm really feeling much better. :/
avatar
CarrionCrow: Shit...between Transistor, Not a Hero, the Gumshoe bundle on Bundle of Holding and that, my game budget is going really fast.

Or not, considering that D just ninja gifted me Transistor. I need to learn how to play more than one game at once. =)
If people would be so kind as to bombard the exceedingly generous lady with +1's, it would be hugely appreciated.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: Do you still collect tabletop games?
I'm slowly rebuilding. I used to have quite a few, but lost almost all of them.
Can't remember how I found Bundle of Holding, but when they have a game someone wants, it's a great way to save money.

Sounds like a good guideline for life in general. I get lost in tangents and become far too verbose when I get going, so I often feel I've little to contribute, but that's certainly a personal hang-up to work on and not the result of responses I've received around these forums. :)
Be careful, though, telling me to feel free to say whatever comes to mind. You may regret that one day! ;)
avatar
ddickinson: It has to be in order to outsmart Owl. Only the best of plans stands a chance. :-)
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: You need to recruit Agent too. Try offering him Peanut Butter Cups. :-)
And then we all go over the top and...

Waaaaait a moment!
I'm dead tired .

Forgot to say : Good afternoon everyone .

Do you enjoy reading the materials that come with them or just collecting?
You don't seem the type who would enjoy the 'multiplayer' aspect.

*Pictures Endre throwing off his leg support and doing a cartwheel in order to avoid Crow giving him a bed bath. Then walking off with tears in his eyes as he tries to hide the pain he is in with his still bad knee* :-)
