You are exactly right. It is no different than any other disease. It is not just a case of being weak and feeling sad - it is an actual chemical imbalance that should be treated. Just like any other disease should be treated.

I kept my mental illness and medication usage a secret for years, because I was afraid of what others would think of me. Luckily, when I finally told my closest friends, they were very understanding and caring. One of them even opened up to me about their own mental illness.

Nowadays, I don't care what anyone thinks about me. I always think of that quote (I forget who said it, but it was *not* Dr. Seuss,) "Those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter."

So I'm just gonna put this out here... Hello everyone, my name is Adam. I have been mentally FUBAR and medicated since I was 9 years old, and am not ashamed of it. I am proud that I have been able to live through it. That is the reason for my forum title, "Survivor".

Still doing that one, just got through doing one of the missions that they added for the Director's Cut version. Pretty good stuff. =)
Alongside that, I've been dipping my toes in a bit of Anomaly Defenders. Not a bad tower defense, but I can see why so many people got upset, getting that after falling in love with games that are about tower offense.

I got it working just by logging out and back in in both places. It still has my old name so I'll probably get Barefoot_Monkey to change it for me one of these days. Sounds like right now their busy solving sync issues so I won't bother them yet.
