ElTerprise: Hmm...the additions to the Humble Origins Bundle didn't make it really more appealing imho (They added SimCity 2000, WC III, WC IV and Ultima VII)...
Well, that's really underwhelming - at least 2 of those had been for free 'on the house' on origin. Will make the GOG-version of Ultima VII go down on my wishlist, though - and move M&M 5-7 upwards...

There are a lot of games in the bundle which had been on the house and are now in the bundle...

Bundle's definitely worse than the first Origin one.

ddickinson: Does Steam charge games to go on Greenlight? If so, that would explain why the let so many horrible games go on there with little to no quality control.

I think you give me a bit too much credit, but thank you.

I would hate getting random ninja gifts that were not on my wishlist. It would make me feel so uncomfortable, especially as chances are it would be a game I was not interested in. I have accepted a few games not on my list, but the person asked first and did their best to talk me into it (such as Gothic which I was gifted recently). I will go through the catalogue one day and double check there are no more games to add to my list, but I am pretty sure I am nearly at my peak for GOG games. Many of the new games are not really for me, some due to the type of game, some due to business practices that I am not keen to support. But who knows, maybe GOG will have some more Good Old Games soon and I can fill my wishlist with some more games.
Not sure on that one. I just know they'll allow pretty much anything on their site, so long as they're getting a cut.
Broken games, garbage games, incompatible games, games that straight-up break copyright law by using assets they have no legal right to, the competition really doesn't care as long as they get their money.

Maybe, but I get the feeling I'm not giving you enough.

No worries there, I'll stick to your wishlist. You're on the path of the moderate, and I respect that.
Will save the items that are so bad I call them hategifts for those who wouldn't feel guilt about receiving them. ;)

Interesting... They saved all the old ones for the second week? ... Seems odd. Then again, I don't really follow bundles anymore, so I don't know what is "normal" these days.

The bundle looks very odd overall... and reminds me that I need to play the copy of Mass Effect I've had on my shelf for 4 years :-p

And two of them I already own on GOG.

Keep up the good work Humble, you're helping me control my wallet...

If you want a class with little to no challenge, go with soldier. Blasted the final boss silly with virtually no damage taken using that kind of character.

I have to agree - it was absolutely the right choice for me as I had not played any shooter for 10 years before starting Mass Effect. But if you're skilled in this kind of games, go for something else.

Yeah, between soldier class and being an incorrigible looter, I ended up with something like ten million credits by the time I was done playing. It was ridiculous.

Mass Effect isn't bad, in and of itself. It's got problems, but they're manageable.
The series gets a lot worse from there.

I like it quite it a bit when i played it but i had real issued with the controls of planetary verhicle... Mass Effect is at least a RPG to some degree if i'm not mistaken. But 2+3 are more or less third-person shooters, right?

Yes, the Mako is absolute garbage, to the point that I have to question both the sanity and sobriety of anyone involved with its design.
2 and 3 are definitely more geared towards shooting. They still have RPG elements, but the guts of them feel like they were added to draw more people to the games.

Wouldn't want it to be too easy... I do like some challenge... I know almost zero about the game, but taking a quick look at the manual, I am drawn to the infiltrator class... I am an Agent, after all :-)

Yeah. Mako was the of it. I think i had to fight some creature on a planet with it and it was awful...after that i stopped playing....
But playing it again is not on my high priority list...
