Just wanted to say that after four days, I finally have all of my GOG purchases backed up. I don't have the drive hooked up at the moment, but for 427 games, it came out to something like 460 directories and it was at ~475 gigs before I finished copying over the W-Z games, so half a terabyte is a pretty safe guess.

On a different note, does anyone know if the Witcher 3 "bonus goodies" are pre-order exclusive? I don't think they are, but it's hard to tell from the game card.

I keep all my games backed up, but I am not sure how much room it all takes up. Quite a bit is taken up with Mac installers, which I keep in case I want to play it on the Mac, but normally I just boot into Windows and play them on Windows anyway.

I am not sure about the Witcher 3 bonus goodies. I do not remember seeing them mentioned as pre-order exclusives, but to be honest I have not looked into them in any details, as my computer could not even run the game, so I have not been to into it.

And of course GOG chose today to unbundle some more of the to-be-unbundled-but-hadn't-gotten-around-to-it bundles today. LOL. At least only the two King's Quest trilogies affect me, so they'll be quick to download and replace. And they actually used real box art for them all! (I think they did, anyway; the only version of KQI I own(ed) was the IBM PCjr one, so the box art was significantly different. I recognize the rest, though, so it's an improvement over the poor QfG series.)

Up to 431 games now, thanks to unbundling...

I hope so. The stuff from my mother's computer was easy but just a lot. My data wasn't as much but at least my university was pure chaos...that's why i called it Augean Stables ^^. But i think i've sorted everything out now and i avoided duplicates. At the moment all stuff is being copied to my external hdd... but the whole process was just awfully fiddly...:).

I think i need to get a backup programme for the next time :).

I’ve read through the last few pages of posts to catch up already, it seems most of you are happy and well, and helping to support those among us who are having some difficulties.

Hope the day, and week, is shaping up to be a good one for everyone too.

All is well, and I’m doing fine here, I’ve just been busy and a little distracted by being busy.

The trip out to the desert was good, but we had to cut it short. Hardly anyone else was able to go out there to meet us this time as well, so it was a nice quiet evening. We didn’t even barbeque after sundown, since there was already food being cooked when we got there. heh!
