ddickinson: Hello, wonderful Owl!

*Big return happy hug*

I am doing good today, how is your day? I hope you are doing okay, despite the lack of sleep?

I did see that Moon was feeling "good" again, it put a big smile on my face.
My day is good so far... quiet, sunny and not too boring... have a little time to spend with you lovely people... so I feel good :-) ... I'll probably remember my lack of sleep within the evening... :-\ ... Let's only hope I don't brutally fall asleep in my plate while I'm at the restaurant...
** Enormous happy sunny hug **

LaPtiteBete: I was gont to eat :-D I missed the end of the world... phew.
** Glad to see you're still alive too !!! crushing hug **
Pffft... Eating is overrated :-p ...
**Another random hug**

ElTerprise: But thankfully (NOT!) we got Jar-Jar BInks instead :P...*sigh*....They ruined it
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Totally agree... Jar-Jar Binks is the worst character ever !!! I was just talking about it only yesterday !! ):-|
I can see why you would be. That character does spark conversation. (Generally involving comments like, "Wow, that character was absolutely terrible. By the end of the movie I wanted to scrape out my own eardrums to make the pain stop.")

LaPtiteBete: Totally agree... Jar-Jar Binks is the worst character ever !!! I was just talking about it only yesterday !! ):-|
Thank god he won't be in the new movies (i hope!) :)
avatar
CarrionCrow: The earliest ones seem to do it the most. The people don't make fun of the movies as much, so there are long spans of time where you're sitting and watching some really bad films with things like flying radioactive turtles. -laughs-
Radioactive turtles? That must be a Triple-A blockbuster ;P

I'm... ok. Just ok. Glad to see you are doing good :-)
Oh no !!! ):-|
For once Moon is good and not only OK ; you ain't gonna take her place, are you ? :-(
Anything we can do to cheer you up ... ?
** Comforting hug with awesome hot chocolate and feshly made belgian waffles... ? **

Maybe JJ will give him an especially brutal death scene? ... I'd love to see a Death Star beam straight to his face :-)

CarrionCrow: Very true. One of the best things I did was wipe out my rental wishlist. Otherwise it'd probably be packed with small games that I had a sliver of interest in.
There are a few items like Crypt of the Necrodancer, Darkest Dungeon and Serpent in the Staglands that I want, but the independent market is utterly awash in bottom of the barrel crap.

Can't say I've done anything on that scale. The closest I got was spending pretty much 24 hours a day trying to help people by listening to their stories.
In the end, all that happened was hearing about a lot of awful shit and overloading from doing it for months.

Yeah...life's a bit of a bastard sometimes, to put it mildly. Good people buried in horrible things and having to dig themselves out without going crazy in the process.

Well, if you end up liking them, that's good. If not, there's still other stuff on your wishlist. >=)
At least with GOG having a more selective approach we do not get too many horrible games. Don't get me wrong, there are some truly horrible and even broken games on GOG, but compared to what I have heard about Steam, it doesn't seem too bad.

I have a big heart, and I tend to get involved with things that often do not have a happy ending, like the hospice I volunteer at. I know that the kids are terminal and that it will upset me to go there, but I can't stop going while the kids still like me going, I would just feel too guilty for leaving them. It was the same with the abuse centre, my friend warned me what it would be like, but when she said she needed help coping and that the people there had suffered so much and could use some support, I offered to help however I could. I figure we only live once and while I have things bad sometimes, there are always others who have it worse and who could use a helping hand now and then. If I can help in any way, then I try to.

I do have some more games on my wishlist, but that is slowly shrinking. I got rid of an extra slot when I figured out that the Original Sin DLC was just extras and not game related. For some reason I though it was like the Outlast DLC and included more gameplay. Once I figured that out I took the Original Sin DLC off my list, as I am not too bothered about art books and soundtracks. I figure if I find I love the game then I can consider the extras. Soon I will have no games left on the list and I will once again be free from ninja gifters. :-)

I don't know... I can't seem to control how I feel, unfortunately :-/ ... I'll do my best to improve my "OK" status ):-| .... and thanks for being so willing to help me ; that alone actually makes me feel a little better. Really :-)
(Awesome hug o__o) ** Massive rib-crushing thank you hug >__< **

Just okay? That's a shame. If that has not changed to good by tomorrow, I might have to take steps to improve your mood myself. :-)

*Lots of big strong comforting and happy hugs for the wonderful covert Agent*

Glad to hear your day is going good so far, and that you have a little time to spend with us. Hopefully while you have some free time today or tomorrow you can complete a secret task and get the rest of the hugs I have kept for you. They are getting pretty lonely sitting on the shelf waiting. :-)

So you are going to a restaurant today for your dinner? (Sorry if you have already mentioned it, I am not reading the thread to see what I keep missing, as I am busy reading through some paperwork that needs sorting and then I have some other things that are taking most of my attention.)

If I'm remembering correctly, there are 4 or 5 movies involving that turtle, if not more.
Trying to watch more than one old episode at a time makes for a painful sit very quickly.

A motherplucking shame... I'll get better! I'm scared of you o__o (don't let it go to your head. I'm scared of everyone :-p)

I haven't seen the Star Trek movies (I never got into Star Trek)... I've only seen one of JJ's movies - Mission: Impossible III. I can't say I'm a big fan of his writing, but he seems like a competent director.
The fact that he is staying away from CGI when he can, and using scale models like the original movies sounds quite exciting.... And I'm quite optimistic that they brought in Lawrence Kasdan (Empire, Jedi, and Raiders of the Lost Ark) to co-write the movies :-)

Well i liked Alias from him and he is a competent director. I totally forgot about Lawrence Kasdan...well that definitely makes me more optimistic then :).

Understandable under those circumstances ^^.
