AgentBirdnest: Good morning/afternoon everyone.
It's good to be back. I went an entire day without seeing this thread. It was horrible.

Always good to see Interplay games on sale. Such a great collection!

CarrionCrow: Trying to, anyway. Even with upgrades, the standard pyro nun has tissue paper for armor.
Course, they're still better than your standard cockroach guardsman....-laughs-

Sorry to hear that the cold came back for another round of bullshit, but you might've ended up being regretful in the end that you didn't spend that time with your friend before their departure.
In other words, you made a good choice, the cold's just an asshole.

Which one did I recommend again? Could try to play it off, but I'd rather be honest about my memory having holes in it like a block of Swiss cheese and say I can't remember.

Wait a second....not the Shannon Tweed one....? That was a joke, don't buy that garbage, not even for a penny.
You'll still feel like you overpaid. -laughs-
There is a video of TB playing the Shannon Tweed game, it's hilarious in a MST3K way.

I meant zeno clash out of cheapness, weirdness, and the fact that it is from Ace Team, who made the whimsical and actually quite enjoyable Rock of Ages.

moonshineshadow: Good morning *welcome back hug*

CarrionCrow: Yeah, can't decide if I should get stuff from it, and if so, how much stuff. Can't afford to drop 85 dollars on everything I don't have right now. -laughs-
avatar
moonshineshadow: Don't do it or you'll regret it when the game you were talking about yesterday is released :P
-laughs- Here's the thing. I know that game will be half off at least by summer. I have over 700 games right now. Also, not liking that GOG customers get treated like second-class citizens by a lot of companies.
The competition has the game, but I won't buy it from them when I know it'll be here. But the developers annoy me by not caring enough about GOG customers to have it ready for here day one.
Interplay, on the other hand....they've been supporters of GOG from the very beginning.

Ohhhhhh, okay. -laughs- Sigh of relief moment there. Would feel badly for even gifting that Tweed shit to someone as a joke.
I hope you enjoy Zeno Clash, and if you wouldn't mind, feel free to tell me what you think of it after. Have wondered about it for a while now.

Toki Tori is a good game. I've wasted plenty of hours playing it. I recommend it to any puzzle fan.
Welp, I just went and bought toki tori with fake money made from selling fake trading cards.

It feels good.

A recommendation on my part, despite it being aesthetically underwhelming (and that's being kind) it has an interesting game mechanic and it costs a mere 9 cents.

Give Defy Gravity a look.

Well, in tabletop, they still get a +3 saving throw. Same as the, 2 inch thick plates of space marines. But since a videogame allows for a broader amount of values than those of a dice roll, and they're supposed to be less advanced and thinner.

If you sell the cards that drop, the game pays for itself, plus a few cents extra :D
I might as well buy it for such a cheap price. Looks like an interesting little game. Thanks for the heads up!
Hello folks, hope everyone's doing at least better than yesterday and the days before.

Yes, so supportive actually that they doubled the prices on almost all of the catalogue in early 2013, and ever since run promos and sales for 50% off.

Good afternoon. =) Can't complain here, hope your day's going well also.

Well....shit. I didn't know that. I would frigging LOVE it if there were more companies related to my hobby of choice that weren't complete assholes.

Mornoon, Endre and Hyper! Hows things?

Interplay's pricing moves have been a bit of a bummer. I still have some love for them though, because most of their catalog is either exclusive to GOG, or cheapest on GOG.

Nothing to complain about today Agent, good to see you here.
Well....screw it. With the info I didn't know, that's leaving a worse taste in my mouth at the moment than an independent developer going for the largest market first. Not thrilled with it, but I do understand basic business and that the people involved with Lords of Xulima need to eat.
Whoever at Interplay pulled the trigger on a bullshit price spike after years of lower cost item availability was just being a dick, unless they've fallen so far that they have to do such things in order to stay quasi-afloat. And even then it's still a dick move.

My day is as freezing as yesterday, don't even want to think about the bill for heating at the end of the month.

Still downloading and backing up my GOG games, which takes a lot longer thanks to GOG not making it clear if I need to download separate installers for other languages than English.

*sigh*

wow I did not know that. Now I feel even better since nothing of that sale is on my wishlist, so no urge to spend money :D

What other languages are you downloading? Just curious since I normally just decide which one I want and only download that one.

Interplay's been run by dicks for a good number of years now.

I'm a bit surprised that fellow GOGgers from before the price hike didn't get wind of it when it happened. Almost everything that goes for $9.99 now costed $5.99, the departed Fallout titles included.
