Evening all!

Haven't been posting much in here lately, but I've been lurking and reading :)

I see we are talking about the many and varied failings of EA. That one could take a while... XD

tinyE: I have NHL 07 on PC and it's still plays and looks great but for the fact the most of the players have retired. Oh and it has The Thrashers which was just a huge mistake from day one. :D
I think the last one i played was actually the 2009 iteration...Who are the Thrashers btw? I don't have that much knowledge about the actual NHL (i'm more into the DEL ^^).

Good Evening.

How are you doing?

Yeah it's good topic for a lengthy conversation :).

Good evening. =)

Oh yeah, and this is just what comes up in casual conversation. It'd undoubtedly be so much worse if people dug into it further.

How've things been going on your end lately?
EA should release more of their games on GOG already.

Yes, they should. A full set of Command and Conquer would be an instant purchase for me.
But there's no way I'm spending that money on Origin.

Yeah that would be nice. But the first three are freeware already so but the other ones would be nice except Tiberian Twilight (That one was shit).

tinyE: I have to confess I still play NHL 94. :P
avatar
CarrionCrow: That's not a bad thing. Sports games have been progressively turned into some of the biggest jokes around.
At least you're not buying into their bullshit, thinking you have to drop 60 dollars every year for virtually the same game.
The worst part of that is that there are far too many people who do so willingly.

I'd be willing to pay for the convenience of an all-in-one package.
But it's EA we're talking about. How long has it been since they last put out a game here? Years?

You're right. There's a term for people who do such things - marks.

Every twenty years the NHL tries to put a team in Atlanta, and every twenty years it fails miserably. XD They moved to Winnipeg and became the Jets a couple of years after being formed in Atlanta.

So basically the Ultimate Collection + Sole Survivor here on GOG?

Ah..okay. Thank you for the clarification :).

I'm getting Ishar, more out of a desire for requital than nostalgia. Back in 1993 I was never able to play Ishar 2 on my PS/2 30. Damn thing crashed due to lack of memory.

Yes, the full package, every title available DRM-free here. Figuring it wouldn't be sold in one package but three (C&C Classic - Tiberium titles up to Tiberian Sun, the Red Alert series in full and the later C&C titles), but the ability to have them all here without any garbage attached would be worth it.

True. But then they would probably omit Sole Survivor as they always do...
Granted it's a rather obscure game but nevertheless intersting to play...

Probably. I didn't even know that game existed until you mentioned it a minute ago.
Generally can't stand multiplayer, but having a "complete" series that actually isn't is even more annoying.

I actually stumbled over it by accident. But from today's view it's not a bad concept (one could argue it's similar to moba games)
