Hey hey! I hope everyone is doing OK.
As for me, I have 50 pages to write and I can't stop procrastinating. :S

ddickinson: Hello, little Blob! *big hugs*

Do not worry too much about your rep, as we said before, it is not that important. It might be annoying but it's nothing to get upset about.

Don't take it personally. A person alone cannot bring your rep down. My guess would be you've been asking for games on the infamous threads.

Off to work folks, if you guys are going to party on my lawn today please mow it first. Mower's in the garage.
Thank you for your support. :-)

I do not think it is anything personal, for all we know it is someone using a script like the ones used to delete the spam. Who knows. But try not to take it personally, what does it matter what some people might think of you, just as long as you don't go around being a jerk, then your rep is not really important.

superstande: Sure, some wife-time is always a safe bet! ;)
My wife has asked me to marry a game once or twice, so it's probably good to look at one's situation and go from there with the games :)
Why would you do that?

This girl has her priorities straight!

ElTerprise: Thanks for the offer :). I will tell you all my impressions on the game when i played it. But that might take some time because there are some other games i planned to play before (and finish if possible ^^)
There is no rush to play it, that's the advantage of DRM-Free, it's yours to keep. I found the Xbox controller to be a bit better than the keyboard for playing the game, but that was just me. Be sure to use headphones, and if you can, play it in the dark, makes it much more scary. :-)

AgentBirdnest: *stumbles into thread*

Good mornoon, everyone! Glad to see that people seem to be doing alright so far... *hugs and tips of the helmet to everyone*
Not a morning person.

I know the feel brah.
Been playing games like Warlock and Small World. Rather nice PC board games.
And the Empire at War mods that I've downloaded are awesome, they are pretty much Xpaks.

How about some canadian food?

ElTerprise: Good afternoon. How is your day?

ddickinson: How are you? Anything nice planned for your weekend?
Catching up on past posts and such. Nope, nothing really planned.

But doesn't that defeat the purpose of the thread? To ask for games and is not like I'm spamming the thread, I post there every 2-3 weeks now.

I've been playing some small world 2 too recently which I got from HB. Really fun casual strategy game. I would invite you for an online match but my internet is really bad. Tried that before and disconnected after 1 turn.

Good to know...I think i'll try them both. Usually i use Mouse and keyboard for first-person games but i have also used my 360 controller for them before (I even once committed sacrilege by playing a FPS with the pad ^^). When i play games i mostly use headphones - unless it's local co-op. Playing it in the dark probably means playing it in the basement....which could make it even scarier ;).

ElTerprise: Yeah. Well iit went better than expected....i was scared but the jumpscares were reasonable (the one before REDACTED really got me jumping me for a moment....the game seems intense :)
avatar
ddickinson: The one in the REDACTED is a good one, it definitely made me jump. The jump scares are more spaced out as the game goes on, and it progresses more to you avoiding or being chased by the REDACTED. So, after seeing the video do you think it would be a game you would enjoy, or maybe a bit too much for you?
Stop that, stop that, I want to go into that game completely unaware and ignorant of everything that might lurk round the corner, so that I can tint my pants a darker shade of brown.

But it's good to know that it really manages to pull off genuine scares. The first dead space had a few genuine scary parts, but it was more tense and gore-shocking than terrifying.

ddickinson: I picture an American ninja as Chuck Norris in a ninja costume. :-)

Glad to hear you are okay. I hope you have a nice time at work. Is the weather good for you today, any rain yet?
Chuck Norris does not need to wear a ninja costume because that implies Chuck Norris is trying to hide. You only see Chuck Norris if he allows you to.

Possibly, but that is just the way the world works. You get downrepped for doing what the thread was set up to do, I get spat at and abused by people for being in the relationship I am in, the world is full of jerks who love to do things just to make themselves seem better. There is no point in letting those people change you or get you down, just keep doing what you are happy doing and ignore them. Life it way too shot to let the little thinks like that bother you.

I am usually fine with the keyboard for those types of games as well (first-person), but I had a little trouble with this one when getting chased, and I just found it easier with the controller, but you may be different, so it's probably a good idea to test both. If you are fine with the keyboard then great, many people say the game handles a little better with the keyboard and mouse.

Or you could just play at night time with the lights out, that would save you going to the basement. :-)

My apologies, I will refrain from any further plot reveals. But those parts do happen right at the very start, so it should be okay. I would not deliberately reveal anything after the very beginning, just in case. But I will make sure to mention nothing about it that might spoilt it for you.

That would be the alternative ;). But i'd like to sleep after playing it and i tend to think about horror afterwards...

Fair enough. Those kind of things never really bother me, but I know we are all different, and if that would cause you some restless nights, then maybe it would not be a good idea. I would think the game would still be scary during the day, it's just that the darkness at night does seem to help it feel more scary. :-)
