moonshineshadow: I'll keep that in mind :-) And perhaps sometime in the future when you'll have a bit more time on your hands or a smaller backlog you can play it.
I should have some more time once spring is out of the way. It is a busy time getting everything in place for the summer, but once it is done I should be back to my normal working hours and have some more time for games.

moonshineshadow: It was a more modern bow. I am not sure if there will be some place I could do it during my trip in June, I need to check that before :-)
I was going to suggest you could see about getting your own bow and bring it with you, but I am not sure about the legal aspect where you are going, or the cost. I guess you will just have to enjoy playing the rogue in Legends of Grimrock to get your fix of archery. :-)

avatar
ElTerprise: I'll try it out. Will see if the jumpscares are okay for me :).
What is it about jump scares that you don't like?

avatar
FearfulSymmetry: Mostly general muscle pain, although my shoulders are a tad sensitive. My neck's doing pretty well at the moment, but whenever my neck's good my shoulder starts playing up and the other way around. I think they're compensating for each other. ;) It'll be fine though, thanks for your concern.
Let's hope that it will start to get better as the day goes on. But these things can also get a little worse, as your muscles tighten up. But after a while I am sure your body will get used to all the Yoga and you can start having lots of fun with it.

*Lots of fell better soon hugs*

I think it would be hard to do that, I would need to check if it would be possible to bring it to all the different countries we are going through. Perhaps when I move somewhere else after finishing my PhD, there will be a place nearby to do archery a bit more.

I'm not sure but i'm really easily scared (or is it jumpy - not sure) sometimes...but i'll try to get along with it :).

LaPtiteBete: and also, DD, you cheated and modified some of the answers !! ):-| ... it's not nice to cheat, young lady !!)
avatar
ddickinson: Would you have rather I lied to you about how I was feeling? You did not include all the possible options, and I am not big on telling lies so I just modified it to tell you the truth. You would hate it more if I started lying to you, wouldn't you?
Hmmmmm.... Yes, I would :-| . I prefer honest people.

That sounds like a good idea. Hopefully you will find a place with some variation in the bows and maybe you can try an English longbow. But if you ever do try one, be sure to take it easy and know when to stop. There is about 100+ lb (45+ kg) draw force on a properly made English longbow, and that can really take its toll on your arm.

Isn't the English longbow very difficult to use? But AFAIK,is pretty powerful and could pierce armour easily.

Many of the scares do fit well with the story, and they do seem in place with the atmosphere of the game. But there are several parts that will make you jump and get your heart beating, so you will need to consider that before trying the game.
