I was just looking on the bundles again...can anyone say something about the games in the horror bundle. Amnesia seems interesting but i'm not the biggest fan of horror ....

So, do you think there will still be a weekend promo as well as the Tower promo? Also, would anyone like to make a guess for tomorrows bundles? I will stick with the guess I made earlier, that one of the bundles will be a Tex Murphy, Gabriel Knight, or Wadjet Eye series bundle.

Amnesia is quite the modern classic relying in actual atmosphere and tension building than cheap jumpscares.

I own them all, but I have only played Outlast. I have heard good things about Amnesia, but have yet to get around to playing it.

Are you thinking the old Oddworld games, or the new game as well, as I think it would be a bit too soon for that to go on sale?

The Gabriel Knight and Wadjet Eye games are good, especially the Gabriel Knights games (although I do not know about the remake).

No. Not a friend of jumpscares....and the Five Nights at Freddy's games look really creepy...

There are jump scares in the game, and a lot of being chased by crazy inmates. It would have been better if it let you soak up the atmosphere a bit more and not just end up being chase after chase, but overall I found it a very nice game. The first half was a little better, IMO, but overall I had fun playing it. There were definitely times that make you jump, and the sound effects and music help add to the scary atmosphere.

Edit: I did find that most of the jump scares were at least believable (in relation to the story), and I would not really say it was continuous jump scares just for the sake of it. But there are quite a few, so if you do not really like jump scares, then it might not be for you.

Hmm...doesn't really sound like a game for me...although the premise doesn't sound bad....


Edit: Looking at my wishlist i just realised that the euro prices went up again *sigh*...

A Tex bundle would be nice, I need 1 more to complete the series.
I would be willing to pick up the rest if the bundle price was good enough just to have a digital backup.

I have not played many modern horror games, and this was my first "jump scare" type one, so I can't really compare it to anything. I did not find the jump scares too bad, the chasing became a bit tedious at times, but I think the jump scares just helped to make you jump now and then and to keep the scary feeling of the game. But I guess it's not for everyone, many people do not like jump scares. The storyline to the game is okay, nothing incredible, but not bad, especially when you consider its and indie game.
