CarrionCrow: That's different. If it feels right to you, that's what's important. I'm talking about the halfwits who would be resistant strictly on a psychotic quasi-patriotic basis.

toxicTom: That's why the winks ( ;-) ).

Having a standard implemented world-wide would ease a lot of things (and would prevent NASA from burning a lot of money and effort in translation errors...).
-laughs- I know you're having fun. It just annoys me that my country is a deranged joke in more ways than one.

The forum should implement comic sans. That way we can tell when someone's being sarcastic/ironic.
Good evening, everyone!

How are you all doing this evening? Any thoughts on today's bundles?

Did I miss anything fun while I was away?

*Big hugs and silly waves*

No idea about the bundles, not my type of games :-)
I don't think you missed something important, just some talk about board games, making soup, learning languages :P

Good Evening *big hug*...I'm fine how are you?

The bundles are really interesting but probably not for everyone :)

Good evening. =)

Can't complain here, doing some house reorganizing in between talking, freeing up space, clearing out clutter.

They both look interesting, and I'm a sucker for new items that come to the table at 75 percent off.
Men of War in particular looks interesting, since there's more variety to the titles than yet another World War 2-based RTS.

How was your day?

CarrionCrow: Okay, here's the thing. There are some Americans who resist the switch to metric for the reasons you just described.
Those people are fucking idiots. They embarrass Americans like myself who don't go in for the "America's always right in every way, no matter what, forever and ever" thing by our having to be associated with them under even the broadest possible terms.

EndreWhiteMane: Agreed, those of us capable of independent thinking get razzed a lot for being a 'murican. ;)
At least you have TinyE, the master of subversive entertainment ;-)

Now really - Americans are infamous for being shallow and materialistic and whatnot, at least in Europe, because - you know - we have culture !!!

But to be honest the people here show me the contrary. There's nothing separating us. And even mainstream culture (that is often called names from elitist circles) is not that bad. In fact I prefer an American mainstream production like like Criminal Minds, that tells little stories with little gestures, lighting, a music theme and a play on cliché anytime over a heavy handed German "Tatort" that tries to drum the message in with mallet.

Soccorro: No, but WE missed YOU! :(
Seconded :-)

*big hug DD*

toxicTom: How do you pronounce it? My take would be the second "UK" button here.

But I think it's one of the most mispronounced words in Germany...
I deny the Cambridge dictionary pronunciation, Cambridge is a complete dump or was that Oxford?

Anyways, I pronounce both worcester and shire, I mean, what's the point of having letters if you're going to ignore them?

I think this applies to most countries in the western (first) world nowadays.

Calling them "First World" is the biggest joke of all, actually.

ElTerprise: I would pronounce it "wuster" :)
My wife insist on "war-chester". You know... tradition...

My day was good, thank you. A bit long and I had some trouble at work with some machinery, but nothing too bad.

How was your day? Did you get your simulation sorted?

Glad to hear you are doing fine. I am doing well, tired after a long day at work but other than that I have no complaints.

*return hug*

Good evening, Crow!

I have not had a proper look at the bundles yet, I will do that tomorrow when I am not so tired. But they have a nice sale discount, especially as some of those games are new to GOG.

My day was quite taxing, but nothing too bad. Still got a few more weeks of hard work before things start to calm down a little, but other than that I am doing good.

I said this a while ago in another thread, but this place really is just full of softies. :-)

Have you seen "Im Schmerz geboren", the best Tatort i've ever seen (It's the one with 52 casualties). That one didn't try to deal with some message it was just an artistic masterpiece :).

Would definitely agree with that. There's a reason why I spend most of my time on a video game forum...;)

My day was ok. Found some faults in the simulation but it is not running correctly yet, but I since my Prof. wanted me to do some other stuff so I did not have that much time.
And you missed nothing in regards of ninja gifting today. These are all new games, so no one had any of them on the wishlist of course ;-)
