CarrionCrow: Wouldn't sweat the RPG bundle too much. Thinking it's the most consistently used bundle on GOG, period.
It must still pull in great numbers, since it's essentially the mascot for the entire service.

-laughs- That must be loads of fun, fighting off the gooey advance.

adaliabooks: Is that the adventure game or the magnetism based platformer? I always get them mixed up... (as I'm easily confused, clearly)
avatar
CarrionCrow: Tesla Effect is the latest Tex Murphy point and click. Teslagrad is the magnetism platformer. The names are so dissimilar, though, I can't see how you'd get them mixed up. ;)
That's my thinking, and next time it comes on sale I'll hopefully have put enough hours into Icewind to know whether I'll really enjoy the others or not.

Oh yeah, cleaning up after the dough has exploded and stuck to every available surface is fun... XD

I thought so, but I'm never sure. One of them clearly needs to sue the other for sole use of the word Tesla in any game title from now until the end of time ;) (hope that doesn't give anyone any ideas...)

Edit: Right, should probably get ready to go out. See you guys later!

CarrionCrow: Bought Spelunky, Crimson Clover and Astebreed previously because they all looked good at the time.
This is a total marathon sale, not an Insomnia sprint. You can take some time, do some research on anything you're unsure about since none of the items are going anywhere.
Yeah i thought about that. I already got Astebreed in the insomnia sale but i heard good thing about Crimzon Clover.... Spelunky supposed to be a really great game altough the version on GOG is apparently lacking daily challenges (Maybe that'll change when Galaxy goes online...?)
Finally done with work - now two days off to play games :D

That works. It'll probably be back around in a couple months during Summer, so you'll have a shot then.

I've made bread from scratch, cleaning up a gargantuan dough blob would be the polar opposite of fun...

No worries, not all game developers are assholes that feel the need to do insane things like copyright single words.
Many, but not all.

Have fun on your supply run, talk with you later. =)

ddickinson: Moon defiantly has been on a gifting rampage recently.
avatar
CarrionCrow: Yes, she certainly has been. =)
Me on a gifting rampage? Nah that can't be true :P
But I am sure all you will have enough things to gift here in the thread during this sale without me interfering since I set myself some gifting limits ;-)

*hugs and waves and then back to work so that I can take a few minutes off to check when the new bundles appear*

Hard to say, since a full Galaxy release is a long way from here, I'd bet.
But yeah, I've heard it mentioned repeatedly that the GOG version is inferior because it lacks those challenges.

Most probably as it is still in alpha. That means it isn't feature-complete is it? I'm getting confused with the terms Alpha and beta recently when the industry started using them as marketing tools *sigh*...

But i don't even know if i want these challenges rihgt now. But there are some games which would definitely profit from Galaxy :) (AFAIk OlliOlli - or how it's called - is also lacking similar challenges)
Good afternoon people.

Less than 80 minutes left.

Meanwhile at the hall of justice.
Can I slime you,moon?
I'll try to make my friends interested in board games and I'll play a battle of 40K today. Space Wolves vs Death Guard,4000 points.

CarrionCrow: If they don't like expanding pizza dough blobs, then they don't know the meaning of fun.
First thing that came to mind was a 50's sci-fi monster. -laughs-
You know, I've yet to see matinée?

PalioDeMonte: Have been considering Spelunky myself, but as I already have Dust & Trine 2 from HB (and they're still unplayed) it has abolutely lowest priority for me.
Whenever I look at Spelunky I see a gorgeous pimped up version of pitfall.

I already have trine and Dust on other platforms, and I'm not a fan of duplicates.

Crimzon Clover is a bullet hell game.

Next thing you'll tell me Touhou is a good game, and that you don't know anything about any doujinshi.

Planescape remains the best selling game if you go by gog's filtering.

Daily challenges, sounds like an online steam feature.
[Edit] looked it up, it's a leaderboard, aka: a biggus dickus feature.
I'm trying to find a fuck to give about it, but I'm all out.

Come on GOG, gimme hotline miami!

Right, because you never engage in such activities. ;)

Fingers crossed for a solution to your problem.

As i said i don't need those either...but i think some of these Steamworks features - not necessarily from that game - could easily be replaced by Galaxy and hopefully will...

I never watched a lot of the old monster movies. Figure I'll get all I need once I finally sit down and start chewing through the MST3K stuff I have.

I've heard the title Touhou before, but never played it. I'll pass on anything that has Japanese tropes to an obnoxious level.
No clue what doujinshi are, though.

That doesn't surprise me, all the games in the D&D bundle are at the top of the list, even Dragonshard and Demon Stone.

Additional - Think I'm going to get some sleep. Have a good day, everyone. =)
