Don't forget to post the final product.
How much time has gone into it so far?

CarrionCrow: It shows their commitment, to be sure. Good thing I bookmarked that page, thinking I'll be headed back there sooner rather than later. -laughs-

EndreWhiteMane: Here's the GOG wishlist for Last Dream.
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/last_dream
Voted. ;)
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: So, I bought Last Dream from the developers site.

... It certainly puts Pier Solar and Skyborn to shame.
avatar
Ixamyakxim: Sounds like someone should get on the horn and get this here ;)
I contacted the developer just now, and there is a GOG wishlist item for it already.

It's funny, thinking about how some people say that video games are a time sink compared to watching television.

It's not any less of a time killer, it's just spread out more. Watching a single show that's been on for a few years all at once takes a frigging week unless you're watching it 18 hours a day until it's done. Lot more time involved than even a long video game.

But this also depends on the video game you're playing- i played about 450 hours of CKII and there is still no end in sight ;).

There are always exceptions, of course. Some shows are worth it, and some games are good enough that you could put them next to the best shows ever made, for sustained enjoyment over time.

Also, the endless DLC for CK 2 seems like it'd be a factor as well. -laughs-
That list reads like a frigging phone book at this point.

Yeah massive 52 (!!!) pieces of DLC if i'm correct...but to be fair only handful of them are really content expansions....^^

52? That's heading into Borderlands 2 levels of DLC. Sheesh.
That reaffirms my thought of getting it as an all-inclusive GOTY bundle if I ever decide to rent it.

Damn, that was fast. Guess they really, really don't want to have to deal with burnouts, so they'll jump in at the drop of a hat instead.

FearfulSymmetry: You sure you don't want any of the others? I've already been ninja-gifted as well and it would be nice to make somebody else happy too. (even if Endre has already kindly gifted you as well) :P

On another note, although I bought this bundle in a previous sale, I actually haven't gotten around to playing much of these games yet. I think I'll try Baldur's Gate in my summer holiday.
Lol, thank you very much for the thought but if I enjoy Icewind I'll probably pick up the whole bundle.

But that's not looking good so far, just made my party (fun!) and saved and exited to see what was going on in the forums and got a BSOD :/
I expect it from Civ 5 or Lords of Xulima, but Icewind Dale? Laptop was getting very hot too, will have to see if there is any optimizations I can make. Any ideas anyone?
Welp, that's it. It's finished.

Hmm, I'll be... I actually managed to build something nice looking in minecraft.

And why am I thinking this in Simon Jones' voice?

Couple of screenshots from different angles.

I have no idea, I think it's been a bit more than a week since I started.

Yup i just i up on Steam. 52 including 2 E-books.
From the 52 only 9 (11 if you count the Ruler Designer and the CKII to EUIV save game converter) of them are actual content expansions. Everything are music packs, unit packs, portrait and clothing packs and dynasty shields packs....
