I've resisted the D&D Bundles so many times, but now that I've started with the forums and I'm constantly being told how awesome they are, they are ripe. I really start hating you for that ;)

Okay;

I just when to the library. Whilst on my way there, I noticed 2 slightly older German tourists who were asking something from the townsfolk (2 slightly younger men) (mind you, Belgians and especially Belgians from Limburg aren't the brightest folks arround in general). It must have been directions or something.

The flemish gents tried to explain in broken German whatever it was they were trying to explain; I couldn't understand any of it myself.

At one point though, one of them makes the most fundamental of mistakes one can make when attempting to talk german when one doesn't know how to.

he pulled a pained face to show he is clearly thinking about something to the germans, and after counseling his friend in ordinary fashion (i.e.) "hoe geraak je daar nu ook alweer?" (how do you get there again?) he turns to the Germans to show them he is still trying to think it out. he then says to them what he thinks has the same meaning as what he just said to his friend in German.

"ehm, wie geht das?" *another helpful painful face*

I caught a glimpse of the elder German couple's faces. and they didn't appear to be very amused...

I had to toil hard to surpress a giggle ;)
