j0ekerr: By the way, I hear rather good things about Divinity, but I want to hear from YOU!
hi! I'm playing Divinity II and last year went through the Divine Divinity 1. They are really great RPGs in my opinion... But there is not a MAD amount of story - especially in the first one. Then again there's a nice connection - if you have played the first one, and go play Divinity II - there's a nice extra flavour there. Don't want to spoil anything. Also in the second one you do get a lot of story later - you just need to level up quite a lot - go through quite a bit of questing to level up - which can sometimes mean not so much story, and lots of small talk, fetch quests - some of them are quite funny though.

Wow, I took a 1,5 hour nap and there's a funky sale going on. Right on, GOG! :)
I'm going to work a bit more on that Orthanc tower.

Any crafters want to lend a hand?
Blew my gaming budged so I won't be able to buy any of the bundles but at least I've got several great games out of it.
And Ghostwriter, you've forgotten me and senpai, hope you and your partner are doing well.

GhostwriterDoF: Which one?

j0ekerr: All of them of course. It's either the whole bundle or none.

So going by your personal analysis my friend, would you affirm that even if Beyond Divinity is an experience akin to being the target of attack dogs trained to go for the crotch, would the game's brethren compensate for the inadequacies of their wayward brother?

*blows bubbles out of classy pipe*
Beyond was originally considered an expansion for Divine, which is odd because several things changed in the game mechanics.
Taken by itself it is a worthy enough game, it just pales in comparison to Divine and 2.
Feels very 'rushed' and rather buggy.
For $1.19 I will probably buy it just to complete the trilogy. Most likely will never play it again though. ;)
Good afternoon, DD !!

ddickinson: I went straight to the Broken Sword games for Owl, luckily I saw that you had beaten me to it before I clicked buy. Hopefully I will have better luck next time.

*Ninja hug*
Heehee n__n ... You're so damn lovely, DD...
See ? How we've all been soundly ninja-beaten by Moon ?? o__o

I agree, though one day I might install Beyond Divinity and give it a test run at the least.

And good morning to you, Endre :)

Haven't been able to bring myself to drop the cash for Minecraft though it looks fun.
I have several similar games to play-through still. ;)

Vnlr: I'm fine. I'm working a bit on an essay I'm going to have to present oraly later this year.

I'm currently studying ecology (physics wasn't all that, a bit stiff, bland and far to theoretical, especially the maths), and I wanted to talk (with all the hype going on anyway) about the devastation and regeneration of natural areas in West-Flanders, during and after the first world war.

Everyone says it's a nice subject that hasn't come up too often, but that is the problem; I can't find enough official sources about that subject (although I'm starting to lift the veil looking about as we speak).

Oh, and don't make me smile; I've been to the dentist and whenever I try to do so I wind up looking like poor Shostakovich
That does sound like an interesting subject. I have quite a few books about the First World War, but I do not think they go into any detail of the regeneration, although I do have a few books from the Imperial War Museum that have incredible panorama photographs taken by the British Army during the war, many were engineering or reconnaissance photographs. Good luck with your presentation, hopefully you will be able to find some interesting sources of information.

GhostwriterDoF: I'm just getting back into the groove of writing the books, (for today and all week) and taking advantage of having the place all to myself for the next couple months. :)

What about you, have anything special planned for today, or this week?
Nothing special for this week, maybe something on the weekend, but for now I am just working and then relaxing at home with the little time I have free this week. I am working 16-18 hours all this week (Monday through Saturday), so not much time for much else.

j0ekerr: She has indeed, like a drill sergeant at marine boot camp. Although she hasn't ordered anyone to drop and give her twenty... YET.
Nothing to do with your previous message, but just to say : I saw your badass tower in Minecraft, that is really impressive !!! What a stunning work... !!! :-O
