ddickinson: Hello, everyone!

How are you all today? It seems there is a sale on today (which I only just noticed).

(Edit: Damn, it seems I am missing out on gifting again, I am off to look at people's wishlists.)

*Big hugs and silly waves*
Alloa! I hope I see you well dearest? (I have a hunch that that sounds a bit too archaic, but hell)

moonshineshadow: *big welcome hug*
Yep a sale where every day new bundles will be added. But for you there is nothing in it at the moment that is on your wishlist. Yep I checked it :D

ddickinson: I see the ninja gifting is in full swing. Is Crow here today, or is he missing all the fun?

Hopefully people will try to keep their wishlists up to date to prevent double gifting.

I went straight to the Broken Sword games for Owl, luckily I saw that you had beaten me to it before I clicked buy. Hopefully I will have better luck next time.

*Ninja hug*
Yeah I already posted a reminder here for people to keep their wishlist up to date :D

And I am sure Crow will show up later and if I understand the sale correctly the bundles will not disappear the next day, there will just more bundles added, so even if someone misses a day it is no problem.

j0ekerr: By the way, I hear rather good things about Divinity, but I want to hear from YOU!
Which one?

Divine Divinity is huge, with lots to do and explore, sort of like a Diablo kind of game, mixed with Adventure genre as well. It's a massive world to explore, with lots of side quests. I've only run around in the game a bit, but the loot system looked good too.

Divinity 2 looks great, and plays great, but the dialog text was really small, so I only played through a bit of it, although there is a nicely done simple mod that you can add (some posted about it in the sub-Forum) that increases the text in the game. I haven't played through the game yet, even though I still have it installed... heh!

Beyond Divinity I have it, but haven't played it at all. There are a lot of complaints about it, and some praise.

Munchkin players, gotta love them.

There's also the, "I will sulk until I get my way" players which don't even make any sense. At least your elf was consistent in his character's greed. I remember someone who complained because during a werewolf game her Fianna Ahroun got a battle scar and she sulked because she wasn't as pretty anymore.

I facepalmed HARD!

ddickinson: Hello! *Big hug*

I am having a good day, very busy at work and the weather is a bit mixed, but doing okay. A bit worried I won't be able to do some ninja gifting this week due to my schedule, but I will try my best.

How are you today? Did you have a nice weekend?
Good to hear you're doing all right! I had a good weekend, thank you. I'm mostly relaxing today and doing some translation work, and then tomorrow it's back to my regular classes at university.

GhostwriterDoF: Good day to you, Battle Sister. :)

I am doing okay, not very well rested, but can't complain.
All is well here, thanks for asking :)

I could be more rested too, also can't complain, for a Monday, Monday

All of them of course. It's either the whole bundle or none.

So going by your personal analysis my friend, would you affirm that even if Beyond Divinity is an experience akin to being the target of attack dogs trained to go for the crotch, would the game's brethren compensate for the inadequacies of their wayward brother?

*blows bubbles out of classy pipe*
Wow, a bit easier to control myself from buying games today than I thought. Already own two of the bundles, and another one of the four is nearly completed. I don't have the Broken Sword bundle though... I'll have to think about it. Perhaps I'll just wait and see what tomorrow will bring.

Belated salutations my devout battle nun friend.

Crow's not here yet, which is a good thing, I fear what'll happen when his OCD finds out about some bundle of which he hasn't already got all the games of.

Yes, I would say that at the price for the whole Bundle would be worth it
just for Divine Divinity and Divinity 2 alone, using Beyond as a bookend or doorstop. ;)

Just make sure to make sure, by watching gameplay videos!

Right! We have to be ready for any new releases that might pop up during these Bundles sales. :)

The first two are really good adventures. The third is also good in my opinion, but as far as I know opinions varied on that one.
Can't comment on the last two since they are still in my backlog :D

She has indeed, like a drill sergeant at marine boot camp. Although she hasn't ordered anyone to drop and give her twenty... YET.

I wonder how Crow will react once he sees the sale? I think no one will be safe. :-)

Glad to hear you had a good weekend. A relaxing day sounds nice, sadly I have to wait another five days for one of those. :-)

I can imagine Crow waking up, looking at the site, then eyes opening wide and ninja gifting kicking in. The straight away rushing to check wishlists against the games on sale. :-)

hehe, you can see a pattern in his characters throughout the RPG's we've played.

in D&D: a Deva palladin, and once he got tired of it a flamboyant Shapeshifter assassin with ginormous ties to the nobility of the shadowfell.

in World of Darkness (rather Vampire: the masquerade): a millionaire industrial who let the others players footslog arround while he was BEING driven in a stretched limo

in Fading Suns (slightly Dune like-low tech sci-fi setting): a noble of an self-cooked up MINOR house on an impregnable planet with a fleet that could a repell a reaper/tyranid/seraphim/whatever invasion all on its own

lastly, in "A song of Ice and Fire" (in our case set in Tolkien's world): an elf prince from rivendell, distantly related to Elrond, got (admittedly, by chance) elected to governorship over an entire region, wears glorfindel armor, glass archery cannon entirely dependent on other players to keep enemies from entering melee with him. That happened
once, and he nearly got battered to death by a single goblin. He uses his taxes to turn his 200-man fishing village into a gargantuan fortress complex. Is currently fervently trying to get a private army of lawnmoler elves (as seen in the opening scene from the first movie)

I'm fine. I'm working a bit on an essay I'm going to have to present oraly later this year.

I'm currently studying ecology (physics wasn't all that, a bit stiff, bland and far to theoretical, especially the maths), and I wanted to talk (with all the hype going on anyway) about the devastation and regeneration of natural areas in West-Flanders, during and after the first world war.

Everyone says it's a nice subject that hasn't come up too often, but that is the problem; I can't find enough official sources about that subject (although I'm starting to lift the veil looking about as we speak).

Oh, and don't make me smile; I've been to the dentist and whenever I try to do so I wind up looking like poor Shostakovich

I'm just getting back into the groove of writing the books, (for today and all week) and taking advantage of having the place all to myself for the next couple months. :)

What about you, have anything special planned for today, or this week?
