How are you all today? It seems there is a sale on today (which I only just noticed).

(Edit: Damn, it seems I am missing out on gifting again, I am off to look at people's wishlists.)

Bit silly, it's not on sale or anything, but I couldn't keep myself (and my father) from buying Call to Power II.

As defence I can say my dad half-forced me to buy it with sponsoring from him because he was getting all hyped up; He kept mumbling it looked "excactly like I recall civilization 2" and "can't hurt for 6 euro's", and "got room to make spare this week anyway".

I remember him playing naught but civ 2 when he had spare time when I was young, so he's happy as can be.

And the rpg session went well. appart from the fact that the braggy elf prince wanted to capture the huge Angmar forge for his own kin (and his own wallet-some players -_-) in Rivendell instead of blowing it up. They spent the entire session stealthily overtaking bits of the fortress, the three of them against hundreds of orcs and wicked men.

I know I should take a stance on this kind of extreme behaviour, but at the same time I'm also like "what the hell, as a Dungeon Master my main task is to give the players a good time, so let them at it". And we did have great laughs.

What is far worse; we live by what the dice say. Now, there was a vote for electing a regional ruler over Enedwaith. The ruler would get support from Gondor to make the region safe. Guess who won the vote after last minute candidacy?

The bl**dy elf prince that's who. And instead of developing his region, he spends nearly all his state income on turning his prior lands (a tiny fishing village with 200 inhabitants) into a Minas-Tirith like fortress city.

I'm going to send Harad assassins after his butthole >:(
