adaliabooks: Yeah, the catering itself went fine. Everyone loved the food, the buffet looked great and we got everyone served in about an hour and a half (which was a lot better than I had thought). The people were really nice too.

The location however was on top of a f*cking mountain... the van nearly slid down, or over the edge into a valley, a number of times on the way up... and we had all kinds of trouble trying to find somewhere flat to park so we could work. We knew it wasn't the best place to get to, but didn't realise it was quite that bad. But it all worked out in the end and we got out alive, and with only some minor damage (possibly, looks like the undercarraige has been bashed a bit) to the van.
That's good to to hear (the catering to the issues with the location :P)....the location really sounds terrible. The people who planned the wedding didn't think it through, did they? transportation-wise...

I hope the damage to van will be as low as possible :).

I don't think it's anything serious, not even sure if it's new. Just the undercarriage (not sure whether that's the right word) looks like it's come loose a bit. My partner's brother in law is a mechanic though, so hopefully he'll be able to have a look at it and sort it out if it needs anything done.

It was a beautiful (if slightly desolate) spot, and the cottage that they were renting is apparently used for a lot of weddings but we certainly wouldn't do anything there again... I wouldn't even want to drive up the track in a car, nevermind in a van...
Good day everyone!

Just went bicycling. I've been through fields, forests and wetlands; and Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany.

To make it seem less like I'm bragging, I'll note for the record that I live in Maaseik, the dutch border is about 150 yards away from my front porch and It's only a short trip to Sittard and by a slightly further extent Germany. ;p

It's quite convenient that the main tourist atraction in the local provinces are the cycling paths.

for the record, I have a clean .NET 4.5.1 install and the game refuses to work, still stating "game requires .NET 3.5 or newer to...". I noticed these prerequisites are checked in an ini file. I could create a virtual disk image and mod it there, then use that virtual disc to install the game...I hope; but we'll see about that.

anything been going on here?

That's probably the reason it was chosen... but the unfortunately didn't really bother with possible issues due to the track leading there...
Does anyone give a fart about the NHL playoffs or do you people have lives? :P

Oh god... And we were trying to contain you on gog... All our martyrdom...in vain
I've never spent much attention to sports. We don't have a TV and I never got to watch many matches. I couldn't care less about all the hype and hooliganism either.

But now you do have me wondering what is so bad about hockey? :)

Sounds like a nice day :)

I haven't followed the rest of the .NET issues discussion, but I know it can be a pain in the arse. I have two different versions installed, to my recollection, and need to uninstall and reinstall them with regularity when installing other new programs...
It's quite possible when it says requires .NET 3.5 or higher it means that it actually requires .NET 3.5 and nothing else...

Hmm.. it's been years since I used it, but I could have sworn mIRC was free...

Men don't belong on ice... That's unnatural. We are suposed to hunt and kill in mud!

Nah, It's just a boring sport. Just like Soccer...

Well they did mention it was difficult to get to, but we just thought it was a slightly steep road... not that you needed Sherpas and mountain goats to get there... :/
