It's a common problem on the internet. People don't get irony etc... but thankfully the forums here are so much better than the Steam forums because there you might have been stoned to death for your post already ;).

I'm quite allright thank you, the weather has been great so I've gone cycling in the woods very often for the past week. I even spotted a few deer crossing the path (a rare sight In these parts). And a dumb, DUMB pheasant.

When I aproached it, it quickly ran away; into a fence. It poked its head through a hole in the fence, and I guess because it couldn't see the fence anymore It must've thought it managed the get through. So as I approached, it kept running against the fence with it's head through one of the holes. -_-

and many other things besides, I've been playing a game of supreme ruler ultimate on and of since october with my best friend. we decided to play a sandbox game with Belgium starting in 1936. Right now we own Northern europe, Prussia, all of south america and central africa. I wish :) (although it would probably be better for the world if Belgium never got to much of a saying; politics and policies are a bloody mess here).

I finished another reading of Douglas Adam's omnibus last week, and I'm thinking about going through Gaunt's ghost again.

So all's well. And now that I found my old Reach for the stars box in which I also kept my vanilla total annihilation and X-wing vs Tie fighter discs, it's getting better and better. Total annihilation still runs fine (not much point using the disc since I've got the full version on GOG, but still a sentimental moment, and I can still play the OST from it), though I needed some "stunt-en vliegwerk" too get X-wing running (as long as the disc works I won't be getting the gog version). And reach for the stars is also fun, all in all.

And imagine this: In the box (one of the old big thin cardboard ones), there is a disc which loudly proclaims "AOL's COMPLETELY FREE INTERNET TRIAL". it advertises that you get 10 hours of free internet time, "As seen on TV" XD

This belongs in a museum ;)...

It sounds like you have been having a very nice time. And nice to hear you have unearthed long lost treasures of the past. I still have my Total Annihilation discs somewhere, a very fun game that holds up pretty well, IMO. At least it lets you change resolution, unlike many of the other RTS games at the time. And it still works pretty well for me on Windows 7, which is nice. I still bought it again on GOG, just so I have a back up.

I really am so sorry to hear that. I wish there was something I could do for you. All I can offer are lots and lots of virtual hugs and someone to talk to should you ever need to.

That is one of my all time favourite games ever. I know some people hate it, but I have always loved it. It was my first game on the Play Station 1, and the first Japanese RPG that I played.

Yeah. The overall atmosphere here on the forum was probably the main point that i started posting on the forum :).

Hehe, I had quite a laugh when I saw it lying bellow said games.

I have quite a few games lying arround that might make it into a museum someday. I was born in '96 though, so I missed out on some really great titles from those days (which doesn't keep me from trying to get my hands on as many classics as I can). Unfortunately at some point a decade and more ago, mommy (a psychologist, figures) had the splendid idea of making my father throw away all his old "violent" games because they might have a bad influence on us. Down the thrashcan (literaly -_-) went Commanche, TIE fighter, G-police, Dark forces, Descent, Red Alert, Unreal, Duke 3D and many, many others ;~;
