CarrionCrow: Okay, finally back. Gotta love getting pulled away by spur of the moment requests from roommates.
Welcome back, was playing Might and Magic 1 for a bit. That's different! :-)

Thank you. =)

Yeah, I'm sure it is. Yet another game in the seriously old-school pile. Totally different animals from games like Baldur's Gate and other newer classics.

And...., I forgot to tell you. I got Original Sin installed on the laptop today and it runs great.
Looks to be an awesome game. :-)

Good, happy to hear it. =)

I've got Pillars running at a decent speed in 1366 by 768 windowed mode, even while only having an integrated graphics card. Not ideal, but it looks like Baldur's Gate (not a big surprise given how much of a love letter to it the game is, even only an hour and a half in), so I'm not complaining a bit.

Figuring OS will be another game where I grab it at full price, back the developer considering that I've heard pretty much nothing but good to great things about it. Sounds like they really nailed it with that one.

Glad that's working for you. Always scary when you go outside the 'supported' specs.
The laptop is Intel integrated too, I've been pretty impressed by what Intel can do.

Larian seems to be like Microsoft, one good followed by one bad, etc, etc.

Figuring it's a crap shoot, but if I can figure out a way to keep it running smooth, no choppiness, no crashing, from start to finish, then it's a safe bet that others can brute force it into working if their processor and RAM are good enough to make up for it.

OS looks like a safer bet all the way around. It actually has integrated graphics listed as a minimum, so long as it's Intel HD 4000 or better.
Running 4600 here, so I should be able to run it on a basic level no problem.

With them, it always seemed like it their games were "good, but..."
They always have that but to it, aside from OS. Fingers crossed, they upped their game to the point that they won't be flip-flopping quality-wise.
Just had a delicious supper consisting of 6 saltine crackers.
Off to bed now to see if i can keep them down. :/
See ya tomorrow.

Hope so. Being sick is bad enough, stomach problems are worse.

Have a good night, get to feeling better.
Good morning everybody!

I really have to stop myself from trying to complete my Ubisoft Collection. Luckily they changed the discount on Rayman Origins from 75 to 60 %, so that I can convince me to save the money for now and grab it later. But I'm considering the 2008 Prince of Persia - unless you tell me it's crap. And of course Might and Magic 5-8 are knocking on my door. I loved M&M 6 when I was young, but I'm not sure how they have aged. Anybody played them recently?

Good morning. =)

That same 60 percent's been stopping me from even considering how to squeeze more money out of my budget to pick some items up. 75 percent is their standard big sale discount, anything less seems foolish to do.

Given that, I'd say if anything to go for Prince of Persia '08. I haven't ever heard anything awful about it, it doesn't get the heavy negativity that Warrior Within and Two Thrones do. I picked it up when it was part of a 75 percent off Prince of Persia bundle during the year-end sale.

Aaargh, wrong answer ;) I was trying to stop myself from buying more games. But if we're talking about less than $3 it doesn't really matter if it's 75 or 60 %. I think, I'll give it a try.

What really annoys me about Rayman are two things. First: The base price is nearly the double of the steam price. I want it here, I want it DRM-free and I would even consider buying it for full price if it were the same as at steam - about $10. Second: I saw it yesterday at the start of the sale for 75%, but didn't have the time to grab it. An hour later they had adjusted the price. So it's weird, i might have paid even $10 for it, but now I wait until I get it for $5 just because I'm pissed ;)

-laughs- Sorry, didn't know that was the wrong answer.

Don't blame you a bit for being annoyed with that. Didn't know Ubi was selling Origins here for twice the price of a rental (my term for all DRM-packed items from the competition), but honestly, it doesn't surprise me.
Not really a fan of theirs, to the point that I won't buy Blood Dragon, a game I really want to play, because I don't want to support their current games.
But like you said, it'll come back around at 5 again. Grab it then.

Good day Palio (I keep wanting to say buon giorno to you, your name sounds Italian) - and Crow, and anyone else reading this

That's pretty bad policy, to change the price of a promo item in mid-promo. Did you complain about it to Support? I bet others have posted about it somewhere, but I suppose it won't have any effect. It's wrong all the same.

There's this thread, although it's more to do with regional pricing, but you could post there?
