ElTerprise: Yes. IIRC you said something like this a few days ago or so....
Still envious because even in the new semester no humorous professors in sight here ...*sigh*
Aww, if I could send some your way I would!
ZenWan: Hi Tyger, that was funny. Having spent years working in an academic environment, I can really appreciate the humour of that. Wonder how many of his students (apart from you) understand what he's saying, if he employs that humour in lectures. Although at your academic level, you probably don't attend lectures any more? Not sure how the system works in the Netherlands.
I think people pick up on his sarcasm pretty quickly. I had him as a professor for one of my very first classes, and for two weeks I was convinced he was a complete asshole. Then I discovered he just has a very peculiar sense of humor. Humor is basically the trademark of our department, and jokes are the order of the day. However, for someone who doesn't know him at all, I guess it would be harder to pick up on.
I do still go to lectures. I'm currently finishing up my bachelor's degree, but even the master degrees have lectures here. Does that work differently in your country?
