ddickinson: Good morning, everyone!
I hope you are all enjoying your Easter Monday having lots of chocolate and enjoying some time with loved ones?
There are almost no chocolates, but I am still having a nice day :D Planning holidays for June is fun. And later on probably some more gaming. And nice food in the evening before I need to travel back home :-)

I just remembered again, that I wanted to ask you, if your arm is now completely well again or if you are still having troubles?

No chocolate? Have you really eaten it all already? :-)

I hope you have a nice day playing games and eating lots of nice food. Are you still playing the Lego game?

My arm is still a little painful, but nearly all better now. It is still bruised, but the pain is almost gone and I have no problem using it. The tendon is still a bit stiff now and then, but that will go with time.

No point in resisting chocolate on Easter, you know you will give in and eat lots of it, making yourself feel sick but still not being able to stop eating more. :-)

Spending some more time with your family sounds nice, I hope you have some fun this afternoon.

Nothing for me from the staff picks. Gabriel Knight is a great point and click game, but I prefer the original and I have never really been big on these remakes that just dumb the game down and change a lot of what made the original great. But I know that many like the remake, and remakes in general, so I am sure some people will be happy to see the game on sale.

How about you, any games catch your eye?

I know - i don't want to but i will give in eventually.... ;).

From the Weekly Staff Picks i'm interested in Bastion but i don't know about Super Hexagon and the VVVVVV ( i already own Total Overdose and Torchlight). I heard that statement about the Gabriel Knight Remake a lot. So better try the original then?

I love the old 1990s 2D adventure games, so I would definitely so to go with the original, providing you don't mind the graphics and gameplay. But it's up to you which version you play, if you prefer 3D adventure games and newer graphics, then go with the remake, as it does have overall good reviews. From what I have heard from people who have played both versions, they seem to prefer the original, but that could be due to nostalgia, but I tend to agree with them. The remake loses a lot of the charm of the original, not to mention the voice actors.
Morning, peeps! *hugs for the posters, waves for the lurkers* ;-)

So close to 25k posts!

Edit : Awesome!! My rep is 742! I've changed my title to "Evergreen Terrace" to honor the Simpsons' address on this historic occasion :-)

Thank you for the information. I don't mind graphics that much so i think i'll keep the original games in mind :).

Good morning, Agent Simpson! *big hug*

It will be interesting to see who gets the 25,000 post.

How are you today? I hope you are doing well?

If I were to play the remake of a game I would try to play the original first. I find it easier to play an older game then a newer game, as doing it the other way around can get annoying as you get used to modern gameplay features that the new game had and the old did not. As long as you don't mind older graphics and games (but then who on GOG couldn't like good old games?), then the first games are lots of fun. If you enjoy them, you could always try the remake at a later date.

While some chocolate is nice, I never it more than a bit. And the Mousse au Chocolat yesterday was definitv enough for some time :D
Yep, we are still playing the Lego game, they are normally quite long if you are going to to all the stuff and collect everything. We'll continue it next time I go to visit my parents :-)

*get completely well hug*

True. But i don't think i've a played a remake of a game before i played the original one yet (apart from Another World of course).

And i never really cared about graphics etc. because i never had the newest hardware ;).

I apologize to everyone at whom I laughed for the inability to wait a couple hours for a game's release. Karma is one nasty lady.
