CarrionCrow: -laughs- I'm figuring grocery store trips might be bad early in the month.
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: In other words, Friday shoppers are something like Sunday drivers?

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Perhaps if one feels it's a bad day for a shower, it's going to be a bad day for everything else too? ;-)

Good morning, GhostwriterDoF, hope all's well with you.
avatar
GhostwriterDoF: Hmm, well we are in the midst of a lengthy drought right now, so you are right about that!

I’m doing well, keeping focused on the writing, and even slept well last night.
I’ve read you’ve decided to shrug off your annoyances for today,
glad to hear you are keeping your spirits up in the face of adversity. :)

AgentBirdnest: *lots more thank you hugs* :-)

Couldn't have done it without my amazing guardian, though. I probably would have given up two months ago if not for their support. Send the hugs their way :-)

GhostwriterDoF: <ruffles AgentBirdnest's and the amazing guardian's hair and feathers playfully>
More like a plague of slowly moving locusts who gather in the aisles and socialize when all you want to do is buy your stuff and get the hell out.

Soccorro: Ahem! Excuse me... I will of course remain your humble servant in battle...
Very good.

*Has a quiet word with your Commissar to have you shot in the back for "desertion" during your next battle* :-)

Make sure to save some hugs for yourself. No matter how helpful your guardian was, you still deserve the lions share of hugs for being strong enough to go through with it.

*even more hugs*

HypersomniacLive: I'm not particularly good at sharing or asking for help, but thank you for the kind offer all the same; I'm well aware that you're all kind and caring peeps, and that alone is more than enough.

Glad to hear that things are looking up for the both of you. Just don't overdo it with the chocolate this weekend. ;-P
I know you are, and I know there are many people here close to you who are there for you. But I just wanted to offer anyway.

No real chance of overdoing it with chocolate. I tend to get my partner a nice box of chocolates for Easter, so there is little chance we will be pigging out on chocolate eggs. Although we do still get each other an Easter egg as well, because we're still big kids at heart. :-)

How about you, do you have lots of chocolate stocked up for Easter?

Hey everyone.

Finished catching up, hope all of you who aren't feeling well are better soon :)

Busy day here, had to go get some supplies (I know what Endre means about being a bad day to go shopping, supermarket was a nightmare. Absolutely packed with ignorant morons), then prepping and loading stuff on the van, and then a quick look at the accounts to see how we did last month (answer, not bad at all).

Is drought a usual thing for this time of year at your part of the world?

You have no idea how happy it makes me to hear that you slept well (suffering from sleeping disorder myself).

It's not just for today. Without going into much detail, I had a very simple, yet quite intense, experience a few weeks ago that lifted a weight from my chest. The decision to protect and nourish this newly gained state of feeling lighter is more of a subconscious thing, and I'm doing just that ever since I realised it.

adaliabooks: Sounds like me to be honest. I do have aspirations to write a novel at some point (just like I want to make a game at some point) but my last attempt stopped short and I haven't really picked it up again yet. But I've got two pretty well developed worlds waiting around to be used.
avatar
FearfulSymmetry: You should give the National Novel Writing Month a shot, writing 1667 words a day for a month is a pretty good way to really get it together and finish a book.. :)
I've been tempted to do NaNoWriMo before but I'm not sure it would help... last time I was really serious about it I was probably writing between 1000 - 2000 words a day, but I got so far and realised that I didn't really like where the story was going, and that it was full of the kind of plot holes I hate when I'm reading books. So I binned it and haven't been able to muster the enthusiasm to write like that since... :/

But I've got the itch again at the moment so who knows... if I can find the time I just might try and come up with something and get writing again :)

I know your offer is sincere and from the heart, and it's very much appreciated. I think I've told you before that I'm accustomed to dealing with things on my own, I rarely even reach out to my family and friends in the physical world; I hate the feeling of burdening others, and that's something quite unlikely to change.
What's that saying? Can't teach an old trick new dogs? ;-P

Knowing how fond you are of chocolate, perhaps you should indulge that kid in you more this year. ;-D

You missed a smiley or two; this is a joke-question, right?

Hi adaliabooks, hope the rest of your day is stress-free. Are you working over Easter?

Howdy! And good day to you too, It is good to hear you are doing well, in both life and business.

Ah yes, the oblivious who stand themselves and their carts in the isles,
it helps to bring an extra horn to attach to your shopping cart.

I’m in Southern California, in the Los Angeles area, we are having a statewide drought that is pretty severe, on and off over the last few decades it has been getting worse.

Aye, the sleep thing is an issue I found it was best not to fight against in a contest...

It does sound like you've found your special place in the Universe,
(besides being part of our GoG tribal community). :)

I forgot how dull the Barbarian in D2 is. Someone throw some hot coffee in my face. :P

Hey Hyper :)

Thanks, mostly just having dinner, relaxing and then early night.

Yeah, got a two day event on for the weekend, and then one of our regular pitches again on Monday. So busy busy :)

Hey Ghost,
Thank you :)
Sounds like you're doing pretty well too (although, thinking about you always sound pretty happy :))

That's a very tempting idea... I wouldn't dare suggest it to my girlfriend, she already wants a stick to poke cyclists with when we're driving, she'd love a horn to attach to the trolley...

Have you played a Druid yet? My character is a Fury Druid and he is freaking awesome and fun to play.

I've had the game since midnight of it's release so I've played them all but never any success with the Druid. He has so much cool stuff that I end up spreading my points out waaaaaaay too much
Helm is love,Helm is life.
OK, the grocery store two days before a big holiday was as expected, but I lived, and more amazing, so did everyone else. :-)
Tried to catch up but probably missed a lot.
Hi DD, and Adalia and anyone else I missed.
Hyper, I would love to hear about this experience if you ever feel so inclined as to share it.

Going to make a pot of REAL coffee as I've been out for 3 days and I'll be back. :-)
BTW: The shower was fine too.

Real coffee...that makes me want coffee while wondering what you've been having to drink in place of the real deal the last few days.
