AgentBirdnest: Hell no. Jigsaw puzzles got me through 8th grade.
Love 'em.

tinyE: They help keep me on the wagon during the winter when that's the hardest. Just finished one of the Sistine Chapel. How Michelangelo ever did that is beyond me.
Here you go. Something to check out, maybe they'll have some items that appeal to you. =)

Don't drop the pieces on the floor,my dog eats them...

CarrionCrow: I like the 3-D ones, so you can put things together vertically. Little bit too much blindness to enjoy the standard 1,000-piece items.
avatar
tinyE: I did a 3D New York City. My cat thought he was Godzilla and destroyed it.
Now envisioning a cat in a lizard suit, with horrendous dubbing in the background....-laughs-

adaliabooks: I have now got my hex map editor for my game to save. Yay!

I'd post a picture, but well, I can't :(

Anyway, that's the bones of the map format done, so now I just need to work on the interface to make a map visually (rather than with lines of code) and finish off the map format (fill in the blank tile types and the ability to place features)

That won't mean anything to most people unless they were following me and ddickinson's conversation four days ago, but I'm pretty pleased with myself so I thought I'd share.
Congratulations on getting the hex map editor to save! Thank you for sharing, as I said, feel free to share whatever you want, it could be important updates like this, just simple things, or even to ask for advice or opinions. I'm sure we would love to try to help if we can.

HypersomniacLive: I'm so sorry to hear about your mother being moved to IC; I've had that experience with both my parents (for different reasons), so can related very well. Here's to her recovering a.s.a.p. and it being the last time.

Off to finish a pie I'm making for tomorrow night, see you all later.
Thank you. I'm sure she will be okay, she is strong willed and stubborn, so she won't let it get the best of her. Where do you think I get my stubbornness from. :-)

What kind of pie are you making?

I clicked "Puzzles for Adults" and was severely disappointed.

Well, you're definitely not a novice, so that doesn't surprise me.
Maybe this might be closer to your skill level?

Holy crap....didn't know 18,000 piece puzzles existed....

And now I've got my eye on a 9,000 piece astrology puzzle that costs 90 bucks. I either need to rob a bank or start selling organs to pay for all the hobby-related costs. -laughs-

adaliabooks: Haven't followed the thread too closely for a day or two, have I missed anything interesting?
avatar
ddickinson: You mean you missed all the alcohol and strippers? That's a shame, sadly Hyper took it all home with him, the booze and the strippers. So there is none left now. ;-)
That's about what you'd expect from someone living in Vatican city. I tell you, that pope has a bad influence on the people. :P

PrinceCola: Are any of you guys book readers? The people i used to play games with never read books, but i'd like to know what others do.
Yes. Not as much as i used to, but i still read books. :) Mainly fantasy books, but also books about ancient cultures (specifically: Egypt, Roman empire, Greece). and in recent years picked up psychology books about mental illness and madness through history. (No, i'm not a psychology major, just found it an interesting subject at the time and wanted to learn more about it because i had a character that was schizophrenic. I like to be through when i do research for a character for roleplaying purposes.)

I have ti keep it at 1500 because I don't have any tables bigger than that. I could use the kitchen table but I can't imagine our B&B guest would appreciate that. :P

That'd be a fun morning....

"Hello there, good morning! I hope you slept well, breakfast will be ready soon.
Oh, what's that? Why yes, that is a puzzle. Just work around it. Yes, you heard me correctly, work around it.
Haven't you ever held your plate in your hands while eating before?
Yes, I know the table's there, but that's for puzzle time. Just stop complaining and I'll get you your food.
Look, I didn't say for you to get all whiny. I said. Work. Around. It.
God help you if you knock any of those pieces on the floor....
No, I'm not threatening you. It's just advice.
A guest with a big mouth who screws with that puzzle just MIGHT end up with a snake in their bed like a writhing pillow mint full of fangs and murder. Just saying.
Now shut up so I can get your food."

That would be fantastic....

Coelocanth: I'm actually just ambivalent about it. Most peanut butter here in NA is filled with icing sugar, so it's really sweet. I don't like that. We buy the all natural 'just peanuts' peanut butter.
avatar
Ixamyakxim: Gross but true story. My sister's dog is allergic to peanut butter (thankfully she just swells up, it's almost cute and funny but only because she has never ever had issues with breathing). During her "puppy years" she would occasionally be given some of the "typical" peanut butter and was fine. It was only later when she was given all natural real peanut butter that she showed (severe mind you!) symptoms.

The point - that gross garbage oil, sugar and processed stuff is so devoid of actual peanuts it wouldn't trigger her allergies.
THIS, made me angry.

You are aware that dogs do not deal well at all with sugar in their diet, are you? Even the sugar in fruit can cause them problems. Processed sugar is a big NO.

You do NOT give a dog peanut butter, even as a joke, no matter how much she pleads, for the same reason you don't give them chocolate. Unless the person doing the feeding wants a blind dog.

In which case I will find that person, and gouge his eyes with a rusty spoon.

Yes I kind of like dogs.

Found some of those too, but when they're less than a hundred pieces, they won't pose much of a challenge. Standard porn would be a lot cheaper.
Course, I am fairly certain I found something to send to my grandmother at the nursing home. ;)

LOL :D
I didn't find any "puzzles for adults" section...
I have no patience for puzzles :-| small ones, at a pinch...
My patience rather goes to other leisure activities, like drawing or knitting... :-)
I admire those who are able to do huge puzzles ! 1.000 pieces... wow
