CarrionCrow: That's also an option. Was thinking of sending you Whistleblower earlier today, but I figured you'd be uncomfortable with it and I wouldn't disrespect your wishes on the subject.

I don't think you're crazy, but I do think it'd be upsetting to you in regards to guilt. Naturally, I wouldn't do something that I know would cause you distress.

ddickinson: It's not that I don't absolutely appreciate the gifts, or that the gifts don't make me more happy than guilty, but I just feel like I have received enough gifts lately, and there are others who would love a gift just as much as I would. I guess if I had less of a backlog and had not received so many gifts already then I would be more open to it without feeling bad. Who knows, I will stick with the whole crazy theory and just carry on. :-)
-laughs- That's an easy way to do it.
"Why don't you like gifts?"
"I'm crazy, damn it, let's talk about something else." ;)

And yeah, I get what you mean. I've got a solid 3 to 4 years of games now at least, with over 150 left to go since I apparently really am crazy and can't consider this whole rebuilding/collecting/hoarding/occasionally playing endeavor to be done until that frigging list is clear.

There is no need whatsoever for anyone to gift me anything, based on that.

But at the same time, if someone does, I think to myself, "Wow, that's really awesome of them, they didn't have to do that, that was really generous." Then I download it, it gets its own little folder, I rename the folder so the capitalization and punctuation are correct, then it goes into the pile until I get the urge to play it.

I can't let myself feel guilty about that kind of stuff because I kinda know how my brain works.
If I try to essentially forcefeed myself something? Well, you've seen me talk about Soulstorm. I wanted to shut that off less than halfway through the first run. So by run number 9, I was shredding every single thing that bugged me.

I don't want to do that with something someone gifted me, just because I'm playing it at the wrong time and got bitchy.

I can see your point. I will try to look at it a bit differently from now on. I guess you are right about why people send gifts, about them not really caring if you play the game straight away, but just wanting to gift a game to show their appreciation. I promise I will try to keep that in mind from now on when I am privileged enough to receive a gift from someone.

Well I had better call it a night. It's gone 2am now and I am up in less than 3 hours. Goodnight Crow (and anyone else lurking)! I hope you have a nice evening, and thank you for the chat, it has given me some things to think about.

Long, long, long, long, long, story short? You're worth it. Don't feel guilty, you're worth it.

You're welcome, have a good night and sleep well. =)

Night DD, sleep well.
Hi guys. I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but as you know, recently GOG and CD Projekt Red merged their forum accounts. As a result of that, all of those who had accounts and both platforms, and merged accounts received a 80% discount code on selected titles, here at GOG.com.

Since I'm not interested in any of those selected titles I want to gift this code to someone who may find it more useful.

To the first one, just say "Me" and it's yours.

I'm good here. Have more games than I know what to do with. Thank you, though. =)

Hmm. They left before someone could get that discount code...=( -laughs-

Another April fooler? ;)
Running through the books on Divine Divinity again to remember some of the lore and story.
Don't really need to to play D:OS but I enjoy that part and the game makes a bit more sense.
This one is going to last awhile. :-)

That doesn't surprise me. The Divinity series is pretty frigging big, so it makes sense that the previous games would provide a bit more info, since it's the same world.

CarrionCrow: seriously, fuck bards until they're Stilton
+1 for the chuckle at this phrase!

-laughs- I like your view of it better, like I did something funny intentionally.

Additional - Okay, time to sleep since my head will explode if I chair doze again.

Have a good night/day/whichever, everyone.

Good morning everybody :-)

*hugs and waves*

Won't have time to follow the thread, since I'm here with both children, and tomorrow morning we're going to catch the train to go to my parents for Easter. But I wanted to say hello nonetheless. Nice snow storm outside...

Oh so spending easter with your family is more important to you than spending time with your virtual family here on gog!? I sure will note that down mister! >:(
Good morning everyone!
It's beautiful morning so i'm in a great mood today.

How are you all doing?
