HypersomniacLive: Off to finish a pie I'm making for tomorrow night, see you all later.
Oooo what kind?

I've got loads of apple sauce sitting in the freezer that I keep thinking of turning into a pie or crumble.. Haven't been bothered yet though.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Hey everyone!

Hope you're all well and having better weather than I - it's been mildly snowing all day long in the city, while quite heavily in all the surrounding areas. With the night and temperatures falling, there's a chance I might wake up to my neighbourhood all dressed in white tomorrow.

ddickinson: I did get some news. My father might be coming home in a day or two, depending on his condition improving, but sadly my mother had to be moved to the intensive care unit, so I'm not holding out much hope that she will be home before the New Year, or even the next few weeks.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: I'm so sorry to hear about your mother being moved to IC; I've had that experience with both my parents (for different reasons), so can related very well. Here's to her recovering a.s.a.p. and it being the last time.

Have fun with the baking. Talk with you later on. =)

CarrionCrow: Glad to hear it, so long as you're not going stir crazy, of course. -laughs-
Doing pretty much the same thing, might get to go out in the windstorm to run errands in a while but that's about it.
Fat chance of that. I wouldn't go out at all if I could help it... Not where I live at the moment.
I've got all I could need right here :)

EndreWhiteMane: Aha! Foiled by darn DST again. :-)
Still means over 16 hours till NY's, unless you guys start early. :-)

gunsynd: Already started (but your right I stuffed my maths)
No problem, I do it all the time. Just thought maybe the Earth got bigger when I wasn't looking! :-O

-laughs- Sounds familiar.
Can't say I'm in quite the same position (otherwise I'd say to hell with the storm and stay inside), but all things considered it's not too bad.

Maybe a tackier version. Unless South Dakota has casinos everywhere like a bad rash.
Makes me think of Wyoming a little bit, but dear gods, Wyoming is even more desolate than here.
No sand in the eyes in Wyoming, though. Just flat nothingness.
Hey, am I the only dork that loves jigsaw puzzles?

Darn, just looked at the weather map. Not sure I've ever seen that much cold that far west. It's as cold here but were used to it.

Hell no. Jigsaw puzzles got me through 8th grade.
Love 'em.

They help keep me on the wagon during the winter when that's the hardest. Just finished one of the Sistine Chapel. How Michelangelo ever did that is beyond me.

To quote Birdnest Love 'em as well! Actually to this day still one of my favorite family bonding experiences! ;) The bigger the puzzle and smaller the pieces the better - extra points if it includes puppies, horses or Star Wars ;)

I like the 3-D ones, so you can put things together vertically. Little bit too much blindness to enjoy the standard 1,000-piece items.

I did a 3D New York City. My cat thought he was Godzilla and destroyed it.
