*hugs and waves*

Just dropping in to say goodnight. :-)

Had a relaxed day. Getting the kids to tidy their room didn't work out, but what the hell. The genius conquers chaos, so better start training early ;-)

Watched some music videos with my daughters, something they love very much and it doesn't take as much time as a movie or starting a game (which always leads to spending more time with it than planned).

We try to limit screen time for the kids very much. A movie when the weekend is rainy, 1-2 hours of gaming with dad per week. Kids should play, paint, tinker and frolic on the playground and not learn the world from a TV screen. So it's still always something special when dad says "Wanna watch some music videos?".

Current favourites:

Older (7):

Aqua - Barbie Girl (glad she can't understand the lyrics, but the song is really hilarious)
Faithless - I Want More
Shakira - Hips Don't Lie (My wife used to do Oriental dancing before the little one came and her teacher quit for age reasons, I guess the fascination for those moves runs in the blood...)
Christina Aguilera - Fighter
Massive Attack - Unfinished Sympathy

Younger (4 next week):
"The King", meaning Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence, currently her No.1
"The woman that falls off the building" - Evanescence - Bring Me to Life

And both love "Mom's favourite" - Adele - Rolling in the Deep. To the point that no matter how awesome the song and the video are, I'm slowly getting sick of it.

But the big one made my happy and proud today when she commented on Adele "What a beautiful woman!". I'm so glad she's not yet spoilt by the "skinny topmodel" ideal. It will probably come one day - puberty will approach in a few years, but right now she's more open than most of her age towards different kinds of beauty and aesthetics.
Hi!

It's Tales of Maj'Eyal, a quite enjoyable roguelike :)

Thanks, yes everybody is praising this one. I'm not great fan of roguelikes though, I prefer either open world (like TES) or a coherent, arcing story (like BG or PS:T).

Me neither at first but i really liked FTL which made me more open for this kind of games.

Roguelikes are definitely an acquired taste.
