On a different note - you should definitely go with black; always a classy and classic choice one can't go wrong with. ;-)
You really should pay me no credit in all this, Herr Tom deserves all of the credit. As you are one of the worthy and amazing people here, I think Tom made a good choice when selecting his victim. :-)
You did accept a gift recently. There was also another gift you refused to accept, and I am not referring to Fist Puncher. But at least now know that if I gift a big game, you will be too shocked to refuse. :-)
I was leaning towards the black more, but I do like some of the red dresses I saw. But I will go for black, especially as my aim is not to stand out too much while I am there.

I am feeling a lot better after a good nights sleep. I still have a headache, but I am no longer feeling dizzy or light headed. That is definitely the last time I listed to people about taking painkillers. :-)
I like the look of the dress as well. A lot of the ones I liked showed a lot of cleavage (which is not the kind of look I was going for at this event), but I liked this one as it was a bit more modest but still looked very nice. I am going with black, but it all depends on what my partner thinks when we talk about it this evening. I like the red, but as many have said, it tends to draw attention. I might be getting a little split put up one of the sides of the dress, just to make it easier to walk and dance in, but I will see about that once the dress is ready to try on.
LaPtiteBete: Oooh... come on... Would it be a bad time for a spitting contest ? :-D As a huge fan of Guybrush Threepwood, I am quite experienced, and I think I have my chances !... \o/
And here I am thinking French ladies are the image of dignity and elegance. Now I hear they spend their time entering spitting contests. :-)

Me and my partner would love to learn, but it's one of those things we've just never had the time to get around to doing.
That's a lovely dress, I think black or red would be lovely but as others have mentioned red is a very stand out colour so if that's not what you are looking for I would stick with the classic black :)
Yeah we can both dance, several different kinds. My partner loves to dance. I prefer slow dances though, as stuff like ballroom dancing is a bit too uniform for me, plus I am a soppy romantic and I love a romantic slow dance. :-)
I will probably go for the black one, but I will have a talk with my partner first. It's possible that everyone else will be wearing nice colours, in which case it might be more appropriate to get the red, but that's something I can sort this evening.
