toxicTom: Just to make it clear I didn't throw myself into poverty over this: I had preordered the game already but had buy a new graphics card which came with the code. I could have canceled my preorder and use the code, but actually I preordered in the first place to support CDPR so that would kind of a lame move. Very nice, and a classic elegance, especially with the gloves.

Keep in mind, if you go with the red color, all eyes will be on you. ;)

Thank you. I do not often go places that require fancy evening dresses (not much call for them in a farming community). There will be a lot of lovely dancing, which is great, and hopefully no one will be a jerk about me and my partner. There shouldn't be a problem, as most of them know about us, but you never know. I am wearing the gloves as I will probably be the only one their without lovely manicured nails (fancy nails wouldn't last that long on a farm). So I figured I would wear them to stop any funny looks, as some of the people going are a bit snobby. I just need to decide on black or red, but so far I am liking the black.

If you want an opinion, I would go for the black one. Red would be too flashy. But of course it would also depend on what your partner is wearing I think :-)

There are bound to be lots of other ladies in posher and more elegant looking dresses, so I don't think I need to worry too much. But I think you might be right, and while I don't mind these kind of events, I do not really like having all eyes on me.
