ddickinson: Hello, Her Tom! *big German hug*

I am glad to hear you have it sorted. I see, I knew the victim would be like that. Care for some help in making said victim comply? :-)

I think we have had family sharing in the UK for a while, but I have never needed it. For the most part I prefer paper books, as does those is my family that likes to read. I am the only one with a Kindle, and that is because I have too many physical books and so I agreed to get a lot of books on the kindle, to save space. It's nice that you can now share your books and that hopefully your family can share some with your mum as well.

The doctors gave me painkillers that were too strong, so when I took the dosage I was supposed to, it was actually several times more than I should have taken. The doctor tried to blame me for overdosing, but it was his fault for mixing the medication up.

*big thank you hug*

I am okay as long as I don't read too much on screen. It's the light headedness that is annoying me the most, but I am drinking a lot of water and hopefully it will be flushed out of my system by morning.
*hugs* Hello,DD

moonshineshadow: Since everyone in my family reads a lot we all have space problems. That is why we have the Kindles in addition to the normal books :D

Yes, with Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Beer please :-)

No need. Seems like some technical problems are arising again...

ddickinson: I seem to remember you saying you have the Kindle Paperwhite, which is the same one I have. It is a lot better than a Sony E-reader tried before. I like that the touch screen has a paper like texture to it, rather than a smooth glass feel like most touch screen devices.
Yep it is a really nice alternative even if it can not replace paper books :-)
When I bought it (because my space problems were the worst in the family), everyone was sceptical, but after testing my device the other family members quickly got ones for themselves :P

GhostwriterDoF: No stress, all is well here. I even hugged my doctor today, since I was in the mood after posting in
this Thread this morning. heh ... and the news from my regular preventative tests was good.
avatar
AgentBirdnest: Did you ruffle the doctor's hair? ;-)
Good to hear about your tests!
No, she ruffled mine! And I got to meet her new baby too! :)

If I got my cholesterol any lower I would have to be dead... heh!

Seriously LDLs 15, HDLs 30. Without medications, just doing my caveman diet
(keeping in a perpetual state of mild hunger, and not eating at regular schedules)
plus avoiding fast food entirely (except sub sandwich places) and soda pop.

That's a shame. But if you should need help with said victim, you know where I am. I am sure we can do enough damage to ensure the victim complies. :-)

I was a bit sceptical at first as well. But it is a nice replacement for paper books, even if I still do prefer physical books more. The features of the Kindle are nice and it is quite convenient.

Hello, little blob!

CarrionCrow: I live in a tiny place that's full of dust and casinos, where you might as well get used to being antisocial if you don't like to drink and gamble all the time.
The big one thing that's happening is that by the end of the year, there will actually be a movie theater here that isn't from the 1950's. -laughs-

That is a great picture. Just imagine that, only less appealing physically.

They'll be okay, they picked up a bug from somewhere. Hoping it's out of their system soon, if everyone here gets what they have it's going to get miserable in a hurry.

That's cool, are you enjoying it? I haven't ever seen any of the Planet of the Apes movies before, whether old or new, so I'm not sure how they are.
(Las Vegas ? ô__ô)
Less appealing ? aaaaaw. Don't be so hard on yourself... the make-up does a lot. ^^
Yes, it was quite good. Now I'm watching the 4th. Still one of the "old" series after that, and I'll have seen every Planet of the Apes (I'll finally be able to talk about them with my Dad) :)
You don't like science fiction movies at all ?

It's better than nothing :-) my skills in German have become very poor too, due to my huge lack of practice...

Last time I went to Vegas was between 20 and 25 years ago. (Can't remember exactly how old I was, but it's been a while.) Figuring that if I lived there, there'd at least be more crap to do since that's a huge city.

Hell, I'd probably be seeing Penn and Teller every time I could afford a ticket if nothing else. -laughs-

I'm not being hard on myself, just honest. Me in a nurse's outfit? There's no other way to describe that than scary.

I actually like sci-fi stuff quite a bit, I'm just really hit and miss when it comes to movies, games, TV stuff.
There's a lot of more popular mainstram-type things that I've never had the chance to see or play.

You devil! You turned a week that started really yikes into a celebration!

Everyone, please find any and all posts by toxicTom and make them green - he just gifted me TW3!!!

ddickinson: Big Daddy? +1? (Sorry, my headache will not allow me to read the screen too much, so I have not read back to what I missed.)

I am okay, a bad headache and light headed, but other than that I am okay. My mum is doing good, she is on course to being home on the weekend, providing she doesn't pick up a bug that is going around the hospital.

How are you tonight?
Big Daddy is toxicTom, and he's beyond awesome! Made my week, my month, probably even my year! See above.

Will read and reply to everyone else in a bit, I'm too much in shock right now.
avatar
ddickinson: Good evening, everyone! *big hugs and silly waves*

Did I miss anything while I was away? I hope you are all having a nice evening?
Good evening. =)

Your doctor is a frigging idiot. I'm sorry you're having to deal with their stupidity.
And of course, they have to say that it's your fault. Heaven forbid they admit to doing something wrong.
avatar
AgentBirdnest: Hehehe... Yeah, I'm a little mad >:-D
I'm doing well. The headache is -totally- gone. Thanks for asking :-)
And how are you? You didn't answer my question about the weather :-p
Hehe just "a little" ? :-D
Glad you're doing well !! and that your headache is gone !! \o/
Ho, that's true ; sorry !!! :-o No more wind here !!! \o/ woohoo !!!
