CarrionCrow: Caesar's Legion...what a letdown...
Then watch out for cazadors instead. I could never take those pluckers down without getting horribly crippled...

ddickinson: Good evening, everyone! *big hugs and silly waves*

Did I miss anything while I was away? I hope you are all having a nice evening?

Going great here! :-)
How are you this evening?

Good news about your family library thing, now you can share all your lovely books. But that also means your mum will see all those dirty romance novels you read. ;-)

How are you tonight my lovely friend? I hope you have had a good day?

It seems taking my medication has done me no good. It turns out I was given the wrong ones, and these ones have given me a light head and a very big headache. I knew I should not have listened to you all about taking my painkillers. :-)

ElTerprise: *big hug* I'm really great this evening :D. How are you doing?
I am glad you are doing good. I am doing okay, a bit under the weather due to some medication, but other than that I am okay, thank you.

Hey Hyper :-)

I still wanted to thank you that pic of the attacking kitten recently. I really cheered me up but I had no time to reply. :-)
You Big naughty Daddy. Can we all please give some +1 to toxicTom? He dropped something in my PM box; I've not checked yet what it is, but I'm sure he deserves lots of green. So, what are you all waiting for?

Sorry to hear you're under the weather. My best for getting back to 100% in no time.

What meditation do you practice?

I see that Amazon did something really nice for you and yours. Here's to many happy reading hours. :-)

My day was extremely exciting.

CarrionCrow: Good evening. =)

Hopefully your day's been going well also.
Hey Crow, how's the gaming and quit-smoking self-torture going?

As for my day, see above.

I am so glad you are doing great. I have a very nice evening, bar my light head and headache.

You've come just in time to show some +1 love to Big Daddy.

And good evening, how are you and your mother doing?

Hi DD! *big hug*

(Hopefully) Got my problems with the thing sorted out. It's sad that you sometimes need to be a little less friendly. Now the "victim" is reluctant to comply, but I'm working on it :-)

Those and deathclaws, since they actually fixed deathclaws after making them total garbage in 3.
But yeah, cazadors were worse thanks to the frigging poison.

Had to drop perks into extra action points and keep a combat shotgun around for those, but that was later on.
Early game, those were both totally "if they close into melee with me, I'm dead" enemies.

That is a good joke :D
But even if I had such books, there would be no need to worry, since I have all English books. So the exchange for books is: I tell my mum which books were good and she downloads them for my father. And I can read her German books. So from my side there is not much for my mum, but in the next days I'll talk to my siblings to include them so my mum can get their books since they buy German books :-)

*extra big get well hug* Too bad about your medication. Painkillers are evil. I try to avoid them as much as possible, but sometimes there is no way around.

Big Daddy? +1? (Sorry, my headache will not allow me to read the screen too much, so I have not read back to what I missed.)

I am okay, a bad headache and light headed, but other than that I am okay. My mum is doing good, she is on course to being home on the weekend, providing she doesn't pick up a bug that is going around the hospital.

How are you tonight?

CarrionCrow: You're welcome, and you're right, the sleep problem thing will eventually nail you healthwise, especially with how active you are. Eventually you'll be running on fumes for too long.

One of the roommates here is the same way. They have to deal with deadlines and schedules and crap for their job, so it takes them a while to get their mind out of the scenario of having to push-push-push all the time and shift into feeling like it's okay to relax.
Exactly. I've been in the hamster wheel too much. Now it's time to pant a little and then move on to nice things :-)

Sorry to hear about your headache. Maybe cut a little short on screen time?

That sounds like boatloads of garbage...fingers crossed that everything turns out favorably for you in the end.

Gaming-wise, I've been doing Escape Goat 1 and 2. 1's gone into total twitch platformer hell levels, and 2's a prettier, somewhat more elaborate version of the first half of 1, a combo of medium-difficulty platforming and puzzle solving.

Soccorro very kindly gifted me Outlaws earlier (well, both that and Loom, but they have a massive love for Outlaws, so they want me to try that one first), so that's being added to the stuff I'm playing now list.

Smoking-wise, it's been cutting down heavily, not quite being brave enough to take the full leap and go off completely.
But I'll be taking that next step here in the next few hours, since I've been telling people who I essentially barter my ability to lift heavy crap for them with cigarettes that I'm not interested and to please stop shoving them in my face, making quitting that much harder. -laughs-

Hello, Herr Tom! *big German hug*

I am glad to hear you have it sorted. I see, I knew the victim would be like that. Care for some help in making said victim comply? :-)

I think we have had family sharing in the UK for a while, but I have never needed it. For the most part I prefer paper books, as does those is my family that likes to read. I am the only one with a Kindle, and that is because I have too many physical books and so I agreed to get a lot of books on the kindle, to save space. It's nice that you can now share your books and that hopefully your family can share some with your mum as well.

The doctors gave me painkillers that were too strong, so when I took the dosage I was supposed to, it was actually several times more than I should have taken. The doctor tried to blame me for overdosing, but it was his fault for mixing the medication up.

*big thank you hug*

I am okay as long as I don't read too much on screen. It's the light headedness that is annoying me the most, but I am drinking a lot of water and hopefully it will be flushed out of my system by morning.

...I actually have a few more guitars and basses but I hardly play them anymore, though I have been picking them up a bit recently.
[...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Why don't you play anymore, if I may ask?
Mostly because of video games, my writing (which I'm working hard on now), and space to take them out of their cases. so they are ready to pick up and be played. I just pick up instruments and play, haven't technically learned how to play them.

I have a lot of swords and other ancient weapons from different cultures and eras that I used to train with (not so much anymore because of health issues, but I can still use most them to exercise with once in awhile if I take it easy). I even have some primitive stone and wood weapons/tools I’ve made as well. ;)
avatar
HypersomniacLive: That's a pretty impressive collection; good thing you're a ghost, I guess? ;-)

Sorry about the health issues, you sound like you miss it.

And a good evening/ afternoon to everyone, hope you all had a good day.
Thanks, but don't feel sorry in the least for me, I just turned 50 years old this year, and it is a miracle that I'm still walking among the living, so whatever health issues I have to deal with are a small price to pay to be alive. Even on the bad days I take pause to thank the Stars, perhaps even a few of the Gods and Goddesses too, as I like to let them know they are still remembered. ;)

I do miss the intense training, but I am slowly working myself into better shape, getting ahead of the health issues. Believe it or not, it takes a lot of energy just to think about things, getting in shape helps a lot with the writing and being able to concentrate.

It is a far better thing to be a Ghost in spirit, than always being a ghostly Spirit! heh!

Since everyone in my family reads a lot we all have space problems. That is why we have the Kindles in addition to the normal books :D

I seem to remember you saying you have the Kindle Paperwhite, which is the same one I have. It is a lot better than a Sony E-reader tried before. I like that the touch screen has a paper like texture to it, rather than a smooth glass feel like most touch screen devices.
