I'm good now, got off to a rocky start this morning like you. We'll make it to 4/5 soon. ;)

All the stuff I'm taking does is make me sleepy and tired, the cost of keeping this old body and brain working. I'm goofy enough on my own. ;)
Glad you two have someone to watch over you and your meds, I don't and it's a bit worrisome at times. So far so good though.

Yeah, I am really thankfull for that. When I asked my parents if it would be fine for them if I would change my medication this christmas they instantly agreed to help me out and we made plans that I'll be staying my full two weeks of holidays with them. Which is also great since I'll be playing adventure games with my mum again :-)

Fantastic, sounds like a perfect holiday. ;)
Hello everyone! After reading some posts here, I can see fishes, drugs, cars, pills.. seems like a party to me! Tis a pity we don't have much beer though.. :P

@Getcomposted: Moving off scatological topics - are people looking forward to Christmas?

This Christmas? I don't think so... It will be two days I'll not be working so I could go out and have some drinks until the sun comes out but the bars/ pubs will be full of people (and smoke!) and the music will be too loud for my taste & my Hyperacusis (even the quiter pubs I frequent have loud music this time of year).

The good thing though, is that I'll get to see a good friend of mine who lives now in Germany and hopefully will be jamming some tunes together.. :-)
Good afternoon everybody !

Nice debate about Hypersomniac avatar ! (I definitely see an eye either, and nothing more...)

And about our habits... I'm a bit surprised to read that a lot of you seem to take medics everyday... And how you all seem to consider alcohol as a worse, if not the worst thing. Personally I don't smoke, or take any pills ; but I like to drink a glass of wine or beer when I get back home after work, during the diner, when the kids are in bed... it's a (bad) habit too. But does it make me a bad person or a wino ?... I don't drink enough to get drunk or anything (or yes, rarely, during parties... a friend's birthday, new year... ! I don't feel bad about it) ; but most of the time it's just because I appreciate it ; just a glass of good wine. And also, because this ritual helps me to relax and feel better, and less stressed by daily life... To each his own, afterall :) Be sure I'm not judging or anything, but I don't think that alcohol or cigarettes are worse than medicine... they are all drugs, all to be put on the same line to me...

I don't consider alcohol a bad thing at all, I just can't use it because of my bad heart and the medications I take for it. Absolutely nothing wrong with alcohol's use in moderate quantities, some of us however are better off without it. ;-)
(In my case I wasn't able to use it in 'moderate' quantities, so I'm MUCH better off without it.) :-)
Good morning everyone... :)

Ah I think you misunderstood the discussion :-) I don't think that alcohol is worse than medics or cigarettes and if people enjoy some that is fine by me. It is just that I have a chronic disease, so I have no choice about the medics and for one thing I want to avoid the small risk drinking alcohol would have and for another I don't want to stress my body more than it already is. So no alcohol, no cigarettes, mostly healthy food :-)
What I just consider worse than medics were the situations during school, where a lot of school mates made it their "hobby" to get completly drunk every weekend so that they could not even remember what happened. But luckily that time is long gone.

I am not so sure about the age :D Just because my parents got interested in games does not mean they are young :D

It is always a little slow 'round these parts when there isn't a big sale promo happening.

Some folks actually play the games they buy here... or at least make an effort to,
when not being interrupted by their day to day routines.

My backlog of games-to-get-to got a bit bigger after this last back to back
Flash and Bundle extravaganza sales we just had here. :/

Time to make some extra stitches in time... heh

Good morning. =)
Games with windowed mode so a person can, say, check a forum and play at the same time are godsends. -laughs-
How's the day treating you so far?
Afternoon everyone.

So I'm checking *the other sale* and found this little thing.

I've been having a lot of fun with Dark Souls, and I'm in the mood for other hack&slash games. But as much as I like the combat system in Dark Souls its simplicity was its greatest strength. I fear a more complex system would simply make it overcomplicated. Also this is more of a multiplayer game, and I hate multiplayer.

Any similar hack&slash ala Ninja Gaiden?

Gods, it IS multiplayer-oriented....actually had my eye on that one for a bit, and I also tend to hate multiplayer.
Will be pretty nice when Bloodborne finally shows up. As for Dark Souls, just got the news that GFWL is no longer needed, so I finally get to hurt myself playing through that one. =)
