zenwan: I get the feeling I shouldn't have posted about this here, sorry if I did the wrong thing. I'm never sure about the rules, being a newbie - but thankyou and +1 to you and ElTerprise for your kindness. :-)

Editing out my reply to penumbren, this post was getting way too long. I'll repost in a while, when GOG will allow me to keep it separate.

Good morning / evening to those who are around. I'll be off soon, it's getting rather late for me. Since we changed time, the dark mornings are confusing me.

CarrionCrow: Good morning. =)

You don't have to worry about not posting things like winning a giveaway. Some people enter and are fortunate enough to win. That's not a thing you have to hide.

How are you doing today?
Thank you for your kindness. Being new to the forums, I try to be careful not to offend anyone, or to say the wrong thing. I'm the kind of person who will always apologise if you stand on my foot. ;-)

I'm well, had a busy day and only now got back here to thank you and Tom.
avatar
CarrionCrow: I'm babbling about my day (or lack thereof), how've you been doing today?
avatar
AgentBirdnest: I certainly don't mind babbling :-)

I had quite a brutal headache for most of the morning. (I'm not sure, but I think it is allergy-related.)
Been feeling great for the last couple of hours, though :-) Trying (and failing) to win skirmishes in Total Annihilation. Such a massive amount of buildings and units... It is difficult to get used to, but I'm loving it! (Thanks to our Owl!)
YOU! *Tackles AgentBirdnest*

CarrionCrow: A little discombobulated here at the moment, doing catch up in a screwy order, but it's good to hear that you're making progress on finalizing your current phase of schooling.
I'm sure the bureaucracy involved is just a joy to deal with...
Thank you :) ! I'm exhausted from the day but happy that i achieved something. Only one small step to go.

EndreWhiteMane: Howdy folks, had to go get my head shrunk. ;)
Found out my therapist is leaving so I only get one more appointment with her.
Have to find a new one, god I hate training people.
Someday I'll get a tough one who won't agree I should bet let loose in the general population. :-)
Good afternoon. =)

Ugh. I'm sure that's fun, getting to shift over and set up a routine with a new person.

I've seen the general population. Lots of unhappy people there, maybe they're not the right group to be associated with. ;)

toxicTom: Huh? Why shouldn't you have posted it and have us enjoy your little happy dance? No worries! We're not envious :-) Most people here hosted, won and lost enough giveaways to be above petty envy. We are glad for you, so thanks for sharing :-)
Thank you Tom, for your kindness. +1 for your and Crow, you made me feel better. I smiled to read your happy post about how you enjoyed your glass of whiskey in your quiet home - you sound like a good husband and father, and a good man.

No time to write more, my day flew by and I have to run. Love to everyone, hope that everything turns out well for you today, no matter how badly it may have stared.
And especially love to the little baby owlet (mocho).

CarrionCrow: I don't know if there's a Walmart near you, but when crap starts flying here, I usually take one of their store brand allergy pills. It's a cheap carbon copy of some brand name item.
Just went to the bathroom to check the bottle, they're called Equate Allergy Relief, the chemical is loratadine 10 mg.
They work pretty well, and they're a 24 hour pill so you only have to take one a day.
Got a bottle of it in our kitchen, but I almost never take it. Unfortunately, antihistamines tend to give me hallucinations and panic attacks... I prefer the stuffy nose and headaches...
A lot of pills give me really plucked up side effects like that.

You're very welcome. No worries, though. I'm the kind of person who's especially careful to avoid stepping on people's feet. (With my size, it'd probably be rather painful.)

That's okay. I dozed off in the middle of talking to people, replied 9 hours later. It's the thought that counts, I think. =)

Oh damn....okay, never mind then. I'd stick with a head cold mixed with that "my skull's in a vice" feeling myself, given the option.

Funny how different meds effect different people.
I actually take a strong antihistamine (Hydroxizine) to HELP with my anxiety and panic attacks.
Loratidine (Claritin) helps with my dust allergy, no side effects.
Old type 1 antihistamines drive me right up the bloomin wall though. :/

Urgh... that is annoying *comforting hug* One of the reasons I hate moving. You need to find new doctors, which can take a while. Two years left before all the fun begins again ;-)

Yeah, it's a good reminder of how those who make the pills have no idea beyond the broad strokes of the human brain what can happen when someone takes their medications.

Maybe in a hundred years medication tailored to each person's chemistry will be available.

For me, the loratadine works, doesn't make me drowsy, but if I take something like Benadryl, I'm a walking corpse.

Yeah, no fun at all. At least I just have to find one.
It'll be tough though because this one's become a good friend.
Which is all a therapist is, a trained/knowledgeable friend.
