adaliabooks: Lol. I know that feeling... knowing how things usually go I'll probably be there in a few hours (although we don't have to get up that early tomorrow thankfully, but there's a lot to do), minus the nice whiskey. Although we do have a little left in a bottle of calvados from Christmas....
:-) I think I won't last that long.
I can't really follow the thread as much as would like to... You're a pizza expert?

ElTerprise: Good Evening *hug* :).
Good evening! *hug*

It seems a few +1s for you are in order for your ninja gifting. :-)

toxicTom: But I'm so much enjoying the quiet right now. The faint city noises. Fresh air that is still clear from the rain and from the cold wind of the afternoon...
And the lingering aftertaste of a nice whiskey...
Now i'm envious :). I just hear the sound of the storm and the occasional plane flying over....
And Whiskey would be really nice now but i've an important appointment tomorrow which means no alcohol for me...

I'd certainly like to think so ;)

Me and my partner run a wood fired pizza van, just coming into our second year now.

EndreWhiteMane: Afternoon all, any takers on Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure yet?
avatar
ddickinson: If it supports the Xbox controller, then I will probably add it to my wishlist. It seems like the kind of game I would prefer to play with a controller over a keyboard and mouse.
It's listed in this GOGmix though I don't know where the info came from.

I had only little time to scan the thread. But from what I gathered your mom is on her way to recovery? Fingers crossed everything's gonna be alright. Need comfort or someone to vent - don't be a stranger and PM me.

The thing we PM'ed about is still unresolved. I'll wait until tomorrow and then I'll become a little less friendly with folks...

ddickinson: I am glad to hear things are looking up for you this year. I wouldn't worry about the weather too much, the British and the Irish are used to the miserable weather and usually don't let it stand in their way of a good time, or good food. :-)
Yeah, it does seem to decrease sales a little, but nothing major. And hopefully the inverse is also true (if we ever get any sunshine that is)

Finally seem to have hit on something that works. As long as things continue as they are we won't have the same problems we did last winter this year.

That sound pretty cool. Now it would be a lie to say I'm the greatest fan of pizza in the world, but really fresh one is something to relish, and of course my kids LOVE pizza (as long as no onion is visible).

You're welcome and to be honest i've never played the first Rayman (only Origins and Legends so far) :).

adaliabooks: Weather was miserable, but still quite a lot of people braved it for pizza (but then, I'd brave the rain for our pizza too)
Just looking ahead to the summer and at what we were making this time last year and it definitely looks like we'll be in a much better position this year, which is nice.

There is a german saying that there is not such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing (roughly translated) ;).

I think in Germany all the "mobile diners" make their money in shite weather with glühwein/glogg.

I will at some point (when there is enough time...)

BTW: I'm just listening to folks who did the song in the Borderlands 2 intro - The Heavy - and they are really good :).

As you can imagine, we love pizza ;)
But I am half Italian, so it's to be expected.
As far as I'm concerned fresh pizza is the only kind worth eating. Homemade pizzas are 100 times better then most takeaway or shop bought ones. Even most restaurant pizza these days seems to be fairly poor... Be to a few places the last few times we were in London and none of them were spectacular.
But wood fired pizza is just incredible. I thought I would be sick of it by now, but at the moment we're probably having it two or three times a week and I still can't get enough.

That's what everyone sells at Christmas here, but I'm not sure there would be a market for it the rest of the year...
