ddickinson: Good morning, Owl!

*Bigger return ginormous super happy Monday hug!*

I am doing very well today, thank you. My arm is still painful, but it seems to be levelling out, so hopefully it will start to get better now. My partner gave me a good telling off for not talking my painkillers or using the cream anymore.

My mum is a lot better, she is on a regular ward now and will hopefully be home by the weekend. She is not looking forward to being in a wheel chair again while she recovers, but she is at least glad she is okay after the operation, and she is looking forward to being home.

How are you today? Did you have a nice weekend?
Well, your partner is right to give you a 'good telling off' ):-| ... are you starting to love suffering just like Crow with his painful games ? ;-)
Awesome for your Mom !! \o/ ... I wish her a quick and full recovery... very good to hear she can already go back home this week !!
I feel quite great, thanks !! (even if a bit tired ; let's blame the "daylight savings" thing for this !) ;-)

LaPtiteBete: May I offer you something to drink ? ... a bit more exciting than a simple glass of water, I mean ? :-) (hot chocolate ? other ?...)
** Even bigger crushing hug **
avatar
AgentBirdnest: How about a glass of ice-cold water on my head? That could be really helpful at the moment...
** Biggest crushing hug **
Ho really ? Are you still suffering from headache ?? :-|
*start to fill a big glass with freezing cold water *

l0rdtr3k: *good morning hug* Hello,Owl. How was the weekend?
Good morning, blob !!
** Happy monday morning hug **
The weekend was good and rather restful, thanks ! what about yours ? :)
avatar
moonshineshadow: Glad to be of help :D
How about *world conquering hugs*? Could be a good way to start :D
Hum... Will hugs be enough to put people on knees ?

CarrionCrow: No, no body count yet. I'm behaving myself, keeping the screaming and throwing of objects to an absolute bare minimum.
(For now, anyway.=) )

I know your list is short, just curious about whether or not you have items on it that you'd call high priority. Ones that you'd prefer to have before others.
avatar
LaPtiteBete: Glad you manage to hold back your frustration so efficiently :-D
Well, about my Top 5... I'd say :
- GODS WILL BE WATCHING, because I love point & click adventure games -and- pixels \o/
- THIS WAR OF MINE, because I love the idea of a war game where you play civilians
- SHELTER 2, because sometimes it's good to play this very relaxing and differently-beautiful kind of games
- BROKEN SWORD 4, because thanks to DD and Moon I already own the previous ones (which I loved), and I never played this one
(This is a Top 4... deal with it ! ;-p)
Occasionally...-laughs-

Thank you very much for the info. =)

l0rdtr3k: How're the Owletes doing? Do you want some coffee that's just came out? I've put cinnamon in it.
The owlets are fine, thanks :) ... I wouldn't say no to another coffee... cinnamon in it ? ô__ô .. ? never tasted that, I'm curious...
Yay! Just signed a new working contract and will start on May 1st! I've been hoping for this for so long!

avatar
CarrionCrow: Sounds like a plan - get some rest, play some games, enjoy yourself.
Anything lined up to play yet?
Definitely a lot of Diablo 3 and somr GW2 with my wife - those are her favorites. When playing alone I might try to dig myself into Hotline Miami 2 - I couldn't pass the second room by now and want to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I can't be so bad! Or I'll finish the Banner Saga. Or Mass Effect 2. The list of games I've started without finding the time to finish them is ridiculous!

It's quite good and spicy.

For the huggers here probably not, but perhaps some of the wavers will falter :D
As I said, it could be a start ;-)
*support hug*

[edit] I just saw: Crow one of your favorite games is on sale :P

CarrionCrow: That's a very kind offer, thank you. =)

Yes, he does have a good setup. It offers both clarity and flexibility.
And like any good idea, we must now steal it. -laughs-
avatar
ddickinson: Steal it we must, for the betterment of all us ninja gifters. :-)

So now your task is to persuade the regulars here to update their WIki wishlist with a list of their top 5 games and their top 5 cheapest games. No easy task, of that I am sure. :-)
Trying to get mine set up is a large enough task.
Comparatively, the rest will be much easier.

You're not the only one. Have 7 in progress and another 21 loaded for when those are done.

It's good that you have games you can share with her. Makes playing that much more enjoyable.

Hotline Miami 2 takes a while. But when you beat your head against that wall long enough, you'll start to progress.

[edit] I just saw: Crow one of your favorite games is on sale :P
I saw before they had the news post added. Saw it on the sales tab.
Another sale with nothing to buy. You'd think that with 157 list items, the odds would be more in my favor.

My odds are much worse, but there is actually one game in the sale this time that I would consider buying :D

Okay, I already feel the pain from my forehead ;-)

If all else fails, you can use luring to get enemies to come to you. Hotline 2 is much more gun-based, so the odds of getting killed are that much higher. But the enemy AI is also really, really bad.

Nope, not suffering from Crow's disease. :-)

I am just not a fan of painkillers, and when I know it's nothing serious, the pain never really worries me. I have felt a lot worse pain a few years ago, compared to that this is nothing. Plus, although I am sleeping better now, I am still a bit worn out, so the last thing I want it to be all tired due to the medication.

It's good to hear you are doing well, even though you are a bit tired. Losing an hours sleep due to daylight savings is never nice. Nothing a gallon of coffee wouldn't fix for you. :-)

*Passed Owl a giant cup of coffee, and gives her a big wake up hug*

I am willing to make a little bet that getting all of the regulars to make a top 5 list for easy ninja gifting will not be much easier. There are some stubborn people here who hate making it easy for people to gift them. :-)

Noticing which one that is. Not a bad price for it at the moment.

Darwinia and Long Live The Queen are also viable options for the sale. The other two are either infeasible because of the problems with doing multiplayer until Galaxy's up, or they're utter garbage.

That's when more of a scorched earth approach would work. ;)

I'll tell you flat out, that I won't make such a list. It has nothing to do with making gifting easier or harder.
Of course backup games have lower priority but the other games, it would depend on my mood which game would get top priority so it could change daily. This is because my list has games that I think could be interesting, but nothing I really need to have right now (since I would just buy such games).
And since I do not want to update my list every day there will be no top 5 :P
For some reason, I always thought the humans in the screenshots for Hatoful Boyfriend were women. Someone told me they were guys and you play a girl at the school. What is it with the current Anime style of making the guys look like effeminate women? But then I should have known they were not women, as they are not all 12 year old school girls scantily dressed and with giant breasts. :-)

I hated Darwanina. It was not my kind of game. One of the few that went to my abandoned list.
Long Live The Queen is really fun in my opinion. I sometimes really enjoy such games with lot of story and all the different choices that lead to other arcs. I played it last year during my holidays quite a bit, trying to get the different endings and deaths etc :D
