ElTerprise: Good evening everybody :)

l0rdtr3k: Searched a Borderlands tweak guide and after some .ini tweaking, the game finally runs fine.
avatar
ElTerprise: Borderlands 1 or 2? What tweaks? I'm asking because i used some config tool for tweaking the FOV in Borderlands 1.
Borderlands 2. Had some FPS issues with it but after tweaking it,runs fine if sometimes I get a stutter.

That's interesting. What exactly do you tweak because iirc i also had some stuttering issues with borderlands 2 when frist tried it couple of months ago.

CarrionCrow: Between SMT and Etrian Odyssey, Atlus feels like a good horse to bet on when it comes to JRPG's on the 3DS.
Also looking forward to Xenoblade, have to see if there are other games to clear first so I'm not missing backstory.

Real life doesn't always allow for noble principles to win out.
So if you find you have to? Make the shitty cash-gouging rehash. Beats going hungry.
Just don't make it your legacy.

Right. Despite the industry's ignoble attempts to effectively bury its own past at times to keep people clamoring for the newest (and frequently shittiest), there's still plenty to play.
And speaking of new releases, seriously hoping that Original Sin, Wasteland 2 and Pillars are the latest items to actually have good quality.
Haven't had much of a chance to play Atlus's stuff other than a demo of one of the Etrian Odyssey games, but they do sound like they're making quality games.
I think it's loosely related to the Xenogears games (or at least a spiritual successor) but I've never played any of them and I don't think I missed out on anything.
Bravely Default is fun but flawed, Xenoblade is a genuine masterpiece (in my opinion anyway). Looks absolutely stunning, great soundtrack, fun combat and levelling mechanics, reasonably interesting and intriguing story. Dire voice acting and repetitive quotes, but in a so bad it's good way (look up Reyn time, or any of the their special move quotes and you'll see what I mean). Huge, mostly open world with loads to do and lots of side quests.

I'm not yet, and hope never to be, that desperate. To be honest I find it hard enough to commit to projects I would really love to complete (although admittedly that's partially because said projects tend to be quite difficult with very steep learning curves) so I doubt I would even have the motivation to finish some crappy little puzzle game rip off...

Wasteland doesn't really appeal, I've tried the original Fallout's and just can't get into them... not sure the post apocalyptic setting works for me. I doubt I'd fare any better with Wasteland. But Original Sin and Pillars definitely look interesting. And someday when they go on sale for £0.99 I'll buy them, lol XD

And speaking of other new releases, unfortunately just seen that Zelda Wii U is likely to be delayed and won't be released this year (though on the plus side, it means I don't need to worry about being able to afford it yet).

Anyway. I should sleep as I've been up since 5.30am and worked 12 hours today and can barely keep my eyes open. Nice talking to you, as always. Speak tomorrow :)

Would say they're bringing the most to the table for 3DS, currently. Huge RPG's, well made, well presented, and typically ranging from slap to the face to hit by a speeding bus-level difficulty. -laughs-

I'll read up on Xenoblades. If it's connected to Xenogears, I'm sold. Loved that game.

Well, it's a worst-case scenario kind of thing. May it always remain in the realm of me babbling away about it while it never comes to pass.
Also, don't be too hard on yourself. I couldn't program my way out of a wet paper bag. It's frigging hard.

-laughs- Whenever Original Sin and Pillars are around for that price, fairly certain that most of the thread will be buying them.

Not a problem, being up for over 20 hours gets a bit draining.
Likewise. Have a good night, sleep well when you get there. =)
Quick hello to anyone who might be here.

Good evening. =)

How's your day been? (Devoid of further bean explosions, I hope.)
HUGE shout out to Soccorro, who just dropped a gift code for Pillars of Eternity my way.

I'm still pretty O.O over here... and suddenly happy that I'm sitting here crying over the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, because at least that way I'm not staring at the download bar. *grin*

Another laptop player? Laptops are great for gaming, not as powerful as desktops but with the little machines I can play Baldur's Gate anywere.

Glad to say I avoided the bean fiasco so far. ;)
Just drinking a coffee and deciding what to play tonight.
What's new with you?

Wow...that's a ninja gift you don't see every day.

Now you can tell everyone how the game is when you're done not looking at the bar and have a chance to play it. =)
And Germany just got daylight saving time as well...
