CarrionCrow: That's the trick to cooking shows. It looks easy because they've done the recipe numerous times, until they know it like the back of their hand.
Tends to not work quite so well when it's a normal person doing it.
avatar
Jwan4321: Or they cheat and use TV-magic, having a fully cooked, already prepared finished dish hiding in the stove, and they can completely botch up the order, and pull out the picture perfect one as needed. Cereal won*, only because I am still looking for the prize. It is no fun to just empty the box out and grab it.
Correct. I always like Good Eats' approach, in which Alton Brown acknowledges the existence of TV time fully.

(Also, that show is pretty much the best cooking show in existence. That helps quite a bit.)
avatar
ElTerprise: It it's not restricted to GOG i would always recommend the Arkham Games
avatar
moonshineshadow: I stopped buying games elsewhere a while ago besides from new Lego games, so only gog games :-) But thanks for your tips!
If we're lucky, the Arkham games will end up here. In that case, would definitely echo their recommendation.
Cleared both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City fully, they're both excellent.

ElTerprise: Okay. Then wait for them to show up here....hopefully.

I'm off for moment now. See you all later!
Have a good day. Talk with you later. =)

I may or may not have also been tempted to try making his dog biscuits, I don't have a dog. It is just something about the way he talks, he could make, well 'cat-turd dog biscuits' sound appealing.

He changed the way I do popcorn, and pickles, and I'm tempted to do the beef jerky trick.

Sounds great, if they show up here, I am sure they'll end on my wishlist :-)

gunsynd: Souths lost:-( Otherwise allaok:-)
Forgot how's your Mum?Arm getting better?
Ok,read post....
avatar
ddickinson: They lost? Was it by a lot?

My mum seems to be doing a lot better. I will know more later when I go to see her. My arm is still painful, probably more so today, but that is just the bruising and swelling. These kind of things always get worse before they get better.

Are there any games from the weekend promo that catch your eye?

Hello, Moon!

How are you today? Do you have anything nice planned for the weekend?
Sorry off gaming,Not by much but you could see that they were flat.....
Haven't had a look yet.
Hi Moon:-)

Likewise, despite having cleared them both on console.
Hell, I'd even pick up Arkham Origins, the weakest of the bunch by far from everything I've read.

To me, he speaks like someone with zero pompous ego about it all.
He's incredibly knowledgeable, but feels no obligation to be a condescending ass about it.
As such, he always comes through as someone it'd actually be fun to cook stuff with.

moonshineshadow: *extra big hug* You can stop trying to look innocent, it does not work :P
But you are right, maybe I should check me wishlist, which is also much faster since the list is much shorter ;-)

And regarding Fahrenheit, I'll also play it, just to see if I can find out why a friend of mine who recommended it to me, was always saying that it is a great game :D
Why do you mean trying to look innocent. :-) *extra big return hug*

Let us know if you decide to get a game of your wishlist, as I am always interested in what people are playing.

I guess we will have to wait and see what we thing of Fahrenheit, but I am afraid it looks like one of those interactive story type games that I don't usually like, as I actually prefer some gameplay in my game. If I wanted just a story I would read a book.

avatar
CarrionCrow: The gameplay to that is 95 percent quick-time events. That's it.
It sounds just as dull as I feared. But I will still play it sometime, I intend to play everything on my shelf eventually.

Off gaming? Do you mean you actually play the games you buy here? You Australians sure are weird. :-)

What game are you playing at the moment?

After checking my wishlist, there is a game that could be fun right now. Now I just need to convince myself to pay the full price :D
Somehow it has gotten a habit to wait for sales for most games since my backlog is so big and only buying the few I am really interested in at release and full price.

Speaking of, I may get lost in youtube again, so I want to leave this as a parting note for the time being, as I don't want to just up and vanish mid-conversation. Now to re-watch all the Alton Brown clips youtube has to offer. Mwuahahaha.

If you're lucky, you'll only be bored. You'll play it, clear it, it'll mean nothing and that'll be all.

If you happen to have Netflix, they have a couple dozen episodes of Good Eats there as well.

Have fun, either way. =)

Hell fire Lady,I'm not that dum...Playing Fallout 3 at the moment, next will be Pillars...:-)
Good morning people!
avatar
moonshineshadow: I still have the original disks, not sure if they would work on my new pc and my old pc is having some problems, I might end up buying it here again as backup ;-)

Now you are just being mean :P
I would not mind a more in-depth game but is does not need to be one :-)
Just be prepared for one of the worst twists in videogame history. It's worse than ME3 and Infinite. Typical reaction

I understand that, I am the same with games on my wishlist. If I promise not to gift it to you, will you share what game you were considering?

CarrionCrow: If you're lucky, you'll only be bored. You'll play it, clear it, it'll mean nothing and that'll be all.
If it gets too dull I will probably just quit and leave it there to collect virtual dust, never to be played again.

So we meet another owner of Pillars of Eternity. Which version did you buy, if you don't mind me asking?

Very interesting....ah....

Good morning! *morning hug*

How is your weekend so far?

Can I make a suggestion about your wiki page? Maybe consider moving your wishlist above your shelf so people can see it more easily. Someone could easily be mistaken into thinking you have no wishlist, as they are normally at the top.

ok :-)
I am considering Bastion, it looks like a fun game and the graphics are nice.
I could easily buy it, I just need to convince myself of it :P
