CarrionCrow: Getting started on another try as we speak. Only this time, I'm going to cut out coffee and soda as well.
How long any of it will last, who knows.
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: The caffeine will probably give you one hell of a headache for a day or two, it does me.
I can do soda but not coffee when I quit smoking, it's a major trigger for me.
Understandable. In my case, both are since I tend to consume large amounts of either while smoking.

So I'll throw it all out and see if my head explodes. -laughs-
avatar
EndreWhiteMane: I still am, my quit date got bumped to April 1.
Trying to psych myself up for it but was hoping the weather would let me get out in the garden.
That worked for me last time, the weather here is back to winter again though. :-(
avatar
HypersomniacLive: April 1 might not be such a good date. ;-)

I definitely missed a couple of episodes here - last discussion I remember you weren't smoking; when did you start again?
Sorry to hear that the weather's not helping; are there no indoors activities that can do the trick for you?
Hmm, Crow stopped for while, not me.
I quit for 6 months in 2013 and am about to try to do it again soon™. ;)

OK, so here's something to think about to cheer you up while going through that;
I love baked beans, I buy several large cans of Bush's each time I shop.
I keep them in the fridge 'cause I like them best cold.
When I want some I take out a can, shake it to death and open it.
Pour out about 1/2 the can and drop the lid back in, put it back in the fridge.
Tonight I took one out, shook it violently to mix it......

It was one I had already opened.
They're on me, the floor, the counter, the walls..........
And yes, the ceiling too.......
Have a little cleaning up to do before I can go to bed tonight.
Now, where's my ladder?
shit

Okay...cleaning beans off your ceiling has got to suck.
Also, seriously hoping you don't have really high ceilings...

But, on the bright side, those beans will serve as an example to the rest in case they're plotting rebellion and escape.

True story.....
They put a metal container into a microwave with no ventilation...
That's brilliant on multiple levels.
OK, this is working, the dog's getting the low stuff.

Yes,he is an Electrician.....Also a bit loopy...A couple of sparks short...
And yes,it's a true story...

And now the dog's silently hoping that you make a habit of spraying beans everywhere so they can be enlisted in the cleanup. -laughs-

Additional - Just when I was starting to get my hopes up about Square...

I'm playing Bravely Default. Everything about it screams old-school Final Fantasy game.
But...I was just given a tutorial on a game mechanic that only recharges by putting the 3DS in sleep mode for 8 hours.

That's red flag number one. If I wanted timers, I'd be playing a browser game.

But then the hammer falls. I can circumvent that restriction by getting a certain game item and using it.
A game item that can only be purchased with real money. -shakes head-

Spend money or be penalized. Hmmm

Yeah...it's truly heartwarming to see that even as Square takes half a step forward, they continue their now years-long pattern of going 2 to 37 steps back as well.
