ddickinson: Hey now, my partner is really good. But I know what you are saying about me maybe not being objective about it :-). She has been playing since she was little, and has played semi-professionally in an orchestra during college, so I think I am safe to say she is good, even if I would be bias about that :-).
We got to listed to the song before we had to sing it, which was helpful. We listened to it on headphones a few times to get used to it and then we sang it on stage. The karaoke machine gives us two different lyrics (one for each of us) and help with the pace of the song. I sand the Meatloaf lyrics and my partner the Marion Raven lines.
Do you enjoy playing FTL, even if you do die a lot? I am sure the mitts and hat will turn out great. I hope you are knitting an owl hat? :-)
LaPtiteBete: Heehee... that's why I said I was kidding, dear. ;-) Obviously she's more than good... semi-professionally in an orchestra... hats off ! A karaoke machine... Ô__ô ... [picturing a kind of horribly freaky torturing robot...]
Yes, I enjoy it... but it's quite repetitive... I think I could easily get bored, even if dying a lot. Dying a lot is not the main problem to me ; but I'm rather p*ssed off that we have to restart the game all over again if we die.
This lovely owl hat is in my library ;-) I thiink I'll make it for my owlet, for the neext winter... but now I'm planning to do a hat for a friend, and... I doubt he will be very happy to wear an owl hat ^^
l0rdtr3k: Good morning.
Still looking for hugs.I'll take a break from my PC to manage my other backlogs. Still need to finish some games on both my 3DS and my 360.

CarrionCrow: Think I'll go with Escape Goat 1, since I somehow managed to delete my old save and never cleared the super hard post-game stuff, along with continuing Grimrock.
My problem is that I'll start a bunch of games rather than focusing on wiping out the pile one or two at a time.
ddickinson: I saw Escape Goat, but I figured I had enough unplayed puzzle games at the moment, so I skipped it without really looking into it. I have heard people say it is a fun game, so hopefully you will at least enjoy it. My problem is that I'll start a bunch of games rather than focusing on wiping out the pile one or two at a time.
I tend to have a few games on the go, usually all different genres for when I am in a mood for a certain type of game.
I got through most of it, and was slowly chewing through the hyper-difficulty extra levels, but I needed a break.
And now I remember where the save file went. I deleted it because I took too long a break and lost the feel for the game, so I figured I had to start over.
Makes sense. There aren't many people who want nothing but the same genre 24/7. That would lead to burnout.

adaliabooks: I'm on my phone, so to all who asked; got to go to the wholesalers and then make some dough, after that it's mostly relaxing and probably gaming.
ToME has reignited my roguelike love so I may have a dig around in the engine and see how difficult it would be to make my own, my other project is slightly on hold at the moment so I might just give it a try.
I'm clearly an awful person, they were talking about someone leaving One Direction on the TV and how upset all the fans are and all I can think is "Thank God, maybe they'll split up and we won't have to be subjected to the obnoxious little b*stards anymore..."
Which is pretty nuch the reaction I had to the news about Top Gear too...
-laughs- That isn't being awful, that's a rational response. ToME has reignited my roguelike love so I may have a dig around in the engine and see how difficult it would be to make my own, my other project is slightly on hold at the moment so I might just give it a try.

When stupid shit isn't going to be around anymore? That's reason to be happy.

moonshineshadow: I don't know what you are talking about *looks extra innocent*
*hopes that no one has paid attention to the fact that this thread is getting more Germans in the last weeks*
I noticed the German numbers here, and this mornings German talk from Owl. I wonder if she is in on this? The French did get a sub-forum first. I guess this means the French and the Germans are planning on taking over GOG. :-) *hopes that no one has paid attention to the fact that this thread is getting more Germans in the last weeks*
LaPtiteBete: I guessed, about your playful tone n__o ... I think I'm starting to know you well, DD !!
Oh... well. I'm quite disappointed, about the karaoke machine... n__n
Ooooh no !!! Crow's disease ?.... Is it serious, Doctor ? ',',,',',',' :-|
Hum... not sure about it... I mean, of course woolly owl hats fit everybody... ;-p but not everybody would dare wear them... :-\ (I don't get it)...
I am glad you are getting to know that I mean most things in a playful manner. I might stick my foot in my mouth a few times, but I never mean anything to be mean or offensive, and it often makes me edit posts if I think something I wrote could be seen as mean. Oh... well. I'm quite disappointed, about the karaoke machine... n__n

I am afraid Crow's disease is quite deadly, and only playing fun and enjoyable games can cure it. But if you keep playing too many sadistic games, then I fear there is no going back. :-)
I would wear an Owl hat. But as I said yesterday, I don't mind what people think of me generally, and if they thought I looked silly then that's fine, as long as I like it then that's all that matters.
LaPtiteBete: Hooo... I can't see your pic... "forbidden" access... ;-|
And yes, of course it's nothing serious, but we all would be reassured to hear it from a white-coat dude, than from a random farmer girl, no matter how skilled about arm bruises and swellings she is... ;-p
Strange, I will attach the picture to this post for you to see. And yes, of course it's nothing serious, but we all would be reassured to hear it from a white-coat dude, than from a random farmer girl, no matter how skilled about arm bruises and swellings she is... ;-p
What makes you think my doctor is a dude? :-)
LaPtiteBete: (Speaking of that, did you notice this sudden insane amount of german people on our thread today ? :-O ...)
I did, and as I said to Moon, I noticed you speaking some German, and that the French had a sub-forum first. I am beginning to think the French and the Germans are in league with each other, both plotting together to conquer GOG. :-) FearfulSymmetry: Hey everyone! Are you all doing all right?
And to DD: I'm sorry to hear about your arm, I hope it turns out to be nothing too serious on the x-rays.
Thank you. I am going in a few hours to get it looked at. And to DD: I'm sorry to hear about your arm, I hope it turns out to be nothing too serious on the x-rays.
How are you today? I hope you are well?
CarrionCrow: Your enjoyment of Escape Goat will depend at least in part on how much you like platformers, since it is definitely both that and a puzzle game.
I got through most of it, and was slowly chewing through the hyper-difficulty extra levels, but I needed a break.

I never realised it was a platformer as well. I would have to keep that in mind if I decide to look at it more closely. I have gone off platformers for the most part these last few years. I used to love them on the old consoles (Mega Drive, of Genesis, for the US), but I slowly got putt of by them. I own a few on GOG, so I will give them a try some day and see if I can get into them again.I got through most of it, and was slowly chewing through the hyper-difficulty extra levels, but I needed a break.

I honestly think that Human Revolution is the best game of the series. And is Wasteland 2 a must buy for a Fallout fan?
