ElTerprise: Up until now i was trying to fight the university bureaucracy :).
Sounds like an oldschool text adventure :-)
Did you beat it?

moonshineshadow: I am a bit bored. I finished the simulations, now I need to edit all the graphics so that they look real nice and write a report.
Weather has not changed, still a grey day. But that is at least much better than your rain and cold wind ;-)

ddickinson: Did the simulations go as you thought they would?

I hope Hyper at least has some sun today. It's never nice being all that way up on a roof in the wind and rain. The wind got so strong that it knocked some of the metal framework onto my arm. It's not broken, thankfully, but it will bruise and probably start to swell up. But as long as it doesn't stop me using it then it's okay.

ElTerprise: Hello everybody!

ddickinson: Hello! How are you today?
I'm okay. Trying to get everything on track for my official bachelor's degree. How are you?

good day *wave* How are you doing today?

Did you achieve anything or just waste time? ;-) Since in my experience university bureaucracy always included a lot of time waiting around for nothing :P

Yep the simulation did the things it should. It was a test to see if the control was working, so it was like: run simulation -> find errors -> fix errors and repeat that until everything worked :D

Sounds painful with your arm and scary with being on the roof with wind and rain *big comforting hug*

In my case it was a lot of walking around because the university is somewhat decentralised. I think achieved some progressbut there is still work to do.

It good to hear you are okay, and I wish you luck getting everything sorted and on track.

I am very well, thank you.

ddickinson: Hello, Herr Tom! *German hug*

How are you and the family today?
What is a "German hug"? Google image search doesn't look too encouraging :-P

I so tired, I'm on the other side... Amazingly enough I managed to get a lot of work done anyway.
My wife is slowly improving, instead the little one sounded like she gargled with rusty nails this morning - the pesthole called family - but fortunately apart from that she was in a good mood (rare enough these days).

Well good luck with the report, and finding the motivation to complete it.

I will probably strap my arm up when I get back tot he farmhouse, and probably strap it with ice for a while to bring out the swelling. I am used to getting knocked about, usually by the animals or the weather. It hurt a lot at first (and still does) and I was worried it was broken, but everything seems to be fine. I am just having a little rest in the warmth of my car before I go back out to do some more work on the roof. But if my arm keeps being painful I will head back to the farmhouse early and strap it up, and just do some paperwork or sort some stuff outside that is near the farmhouse.

Hopefully. I'm happy that my exam and the thesis went well but to be honest i could have done this much earlier. I nearly messed up my entire study because of having some problems with delaying stuff.

Ah, I forgot you might have missed our little silliness before when we were deciding on different nations hugs. If I remember correctly, German hugs were like regular hugs, but with a hint of Bratwurst to it (all the hugs were food related, relating to the country of the hugs). :-)

I am sorry to hear you are tired, that's never nice, especially when you have a lot of work to do. But good news about your wife slowly improving, I am so glad to hear that. But not so good to hear about your little one. I will continue to keep my fingers crossed that everything will turn out great for you all.

But at least it is all done now and you can move on to your masters. Is your end goal a masters or a doctorate?

I see, I didn't know if you were going for a career that required a doctorate.

I could stay in University without a doctorate but it means ot make a lot less money (although not much to earn at university in the first place unless ine is a professor)

Seems I missed something. I want my hugs with Bratwurst and Sauerkraut then... How are English hugs?
