CarrionCrow: So long as they don't shift from quiet to boring it's fine. The boring ones get old very quickly.

How much more work do you need to do to have that completed?
Nearly everything, unfortunately. :P I've only just started. Still, I have only about two months to complete it, so it will be done sooner rather than later.

madth3: And I seem to remember trentonlf was about to get a "special" jacket from you girls. :-P
It was for his own good, we needed to help him with his addiction. But he did get to share the T-shirt that Crew made for us both.

HypersomniacLive: Doesn't matter, the "you're not always successful" part still applies. ;-P
Well I have to let you boys think that sometimes, we all know how you like to win. I am a sucker for making people happy, so letting you boys think you win makes you happy, which makes me happy, so indirectly I still win. :-)

l0rdtr3k: These movies are great. Low budget.
Yeah I've heard. I have Nights of The Living Dead on my list.

Plan 9? Manos? Not planned.
;-)

If you need any encouragement we're all in your corner. It was nice sending ElTerprise some positive energy, and even nicer to find out it all went well ;-)

That's a good attitude to have about it. The couple months of stress won't be pleasant, but at least it will be cleared relatively quickly.

WIth Manos you need the MST3K version to sit through.

l0rdtr3k: Know what's sad about Ed Wood? He's considered the worst director of all time but at least he put effort into his movies.
Look at Bride of the Monster,it's bad? Oh yes,but you could see that he tried to make something out of it.
I think Ed Wood actually falls under "so bad it's good".

Congratulations! It must feel good to be finished. :)

Thank you so much! Mostly, the workload is just intimidating, but with these kinds of projects, things tend to progress reasonably smoothly once you actually get going. :)

That's definitely true! And if all goes well I'll have a shiny degree to show for it. :)

CarrionCrow: Yes, I'm figuring it will. Haven't seen it this low before, but once a title hits a certain price point, it's a pretty safe bet that it will do so again eventually.
At least waiting would give you another reason to be interested in the next big sale, just in case it ends up being dull.

Out of curiosity, what would you say is the percentage of games you own on GOG that you have played? Mine is ridiculously low, but now things are settling down I have started playing games some more. I just finished playing Loom with my partner this evening, which was quite fun. I have always liked good 1990's adventure games.

It does. But it was about time for me :).

Not sure offhand, working on increasing that percentage. I figure it'd be better if I hadn't foolishly gotten myself bogged down in multiple crappy slog/sadistic-level difficulty games recently.

I guess you've never considered you're being paid with the same coin - sometimes. ;-P

As sadistic as some of your game playing choices are, at least it's commendable that you stick at it and finish the games. Many of the ones you play would annoy me and would cause me to just abandon the game for a better one.

If that was the case, you would have accepted Fist Puncher and made me happy. :-)

Yes, its getting the initial weight moving, and once it is, then keeping it that way. So much of getting on is like that, where the initial weight might be making a difficult decision or doing something that's become a habit to keep avoiding. Your two month deadline, rather than scary, is probably really useful in that respect ;-)
