ddickinson: Hopefully it is nothing and he is all fine and dandy.

I choose to think positive.

I am very well, thank you. How are you? Is your evening going pleasantly?

[...]
It actually is. I've been invited for lunch tomorrow, so improvised on a Fusilli salad, and am about to make dessert.

FearfulSymmetry: Hey to you too! I hope you're doing okay as well?

OK here, thanks for asking.

Ow, now you're scaring the boys! ;)
That's her favourite activity on this forum. ;-)
Good evening, D. Good evening, Fearful. =)

Hopefully you've both had decent days at the very least.

ElTerprise: Okay. What dialect if may ask?
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Hahaha, no dialect. I think we're talking about the same term, it's just that it's a bit less... discrete, hence "not exactly hochdeutsch".
Okay no i get it. Looks like i'm a Döskopp ;).

That sounds nice. I hope you have a very nice time. What are you making for dessert?

Now who on here have I ever scared? Everyone knows I am all sweetness and light. :-)

Hey Crow! :) Yep, it was a decent day, although not as productive as I would have liked.

Hello, Crow! *hello hug*

My day was very well, thank you. How are you today? Have you had a nice day?

Stilton: Hi, Tyger ;-) How are you? What have you been playing? I've loaded up Tales of Maj'Eyal, but I've not played anything like it before and I'm wondering what to do, how, when and where... But I still like it, so I'm happy ;-)

FearfulSymmetry: I've been playing The Dig and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2 these past few days. I finished The Dig, and I'm almost done with BoUT 2. They've both been a lot of fun! My shoulder and neck have been giving me some trouble lately, so I've been trying to avoid keyboard-intensive games, which means that I'm mostly playing point-and-clicks at the moment. But that's okay, because they're good fun. :)

I've had a look at Tales of Maj'Eyal, but I was a bit intimidated by it, as I've not played much like it either. It's good to hear you're enjoying it, though. Who knows, you might end up really liking it and discovering a new type of game? :P
I've been getting similar pains - it makes me wonder how much time I really need to spend in from of my monitor, but its difficult to step away when there's fun stuff to do, like talking on this forum and playing games...

Really liking it is what I hope happens. That's one of the things I like about talking to everyone here - I can learn about games I've never played and maybe never even considered before. This really is a good community ;-)
Know what's sad about Ed Wood? He's considered the worst director of all time but at least he put effort into his movies.
Look at Bride of the Monster,it's bad? Oh yes,but you could see that he tried to make something out of it.

Unlike Uwe Boll who is just bad imho.

Get sidetracked, or not feeling well so you had to delay certain things?

Yep, I know the problem! There's always so much I want to do. :P

That's definitely true! Thanks to the community here, I've picked up some games I probably wouldn't have tried otherwise. For instance, I'm not big on FPS games, so I probably wouldn't have bought System Shock 2 if it hadn't come so highly recommended by everyone here. As it is, I really enjoyed playing through it!

adaliabooks: It's funny. I remember when I first played roguelikes and I was exactly the same, now it's mostly second nature...
You might need some kind of guide when you first start, not sure how ToME compares to other roguelikes but it does take a bit of getting into. And don't worry if you die and have to restart, a lot... that's just part of the fun! :)
I'm learning that, and actually kind of enjoying it... ;-)

A combination of the two. I've been very busy lately so it's hard to force myself to sit down and do some actual work, and of course my back/neck decided to act up today as well. So I didn't get as much done as I would have liked to, but I'll try to catch up tomorrow. :) What about you, are you doing all right?

It's interesting, isn't it? I think FTL got me in the direction of rougelikes as i'm now kore willing to try them out.
I died so often in this game and still i play it.

Glad to hear it. =)
Pretty standard day here. Did some stuff around the house, helped out a roommate with errands.
Now I'm going back and forth on whether or not to scrape my post-Insomnia pennies together for Starpoint Gemini 2, or wait until it hits during a big sale.
